Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Minties apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But walking up to this place on Minties gatvė in the Žirmūnai district, I actually got excited. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like a real neighborhood rather than the touristy center. You know what I mean? The building itself has that solid Soviet-era construction (don’t worry, it’s been nicely updated inside), and you can tell locals actually live here. I watched kids playing in the courtyard while their grandmothers chatted on benches – it’s the kind of authentic Vilnius experience you miss when you’re staying in Old Town with all the other travelers.

The apartment itself surprised me in the best way. Honestly, for a 3-star place, they’ve put real thought into the details. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook – I mean proper knives, not those dull things you usually find. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel back ache, and the Wi-Fi was solid (I was working remotely, so this mattered). What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night. Žirmūnai isn’t exactly sleepy, but Minties gatvė is tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with late-night bar crowds or trams rumbling past your window. The only thing that took some getting used to was the shower – it’s one of those European setups where you really need to keep the curtain pulled tight unless you want to flood the bathroom floor.

Here’s the thing that sold me on this place though – the location is actually brilliant if you think about it strategically. Sure, you’re not stumbling distance from the cathedral, but there’s a bus stop literally two minutes away that gets you to the center in maybe fifteen minutes. More importantly, you’re walking distance to some spots the tour groups never find. There’s this little market on Žirmūnų gatvė where I grabbed the best rye bread I had in Lithuania, and honestly, just wandering around this area gave me a better sense of how regular people live in Vilnius. Plus, parking is way easier here if you’ve got a car – and cheaper too. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury, everything works like it should, it’s clean, and the value is really solid. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was staying for more than a couple nights and wanted to feel less like a tourist.

  Best value for money! We were a family with two kids, and this was one of the most comfortable stay. There were several parks in this residential community and less than a 5min walk towards bus stop. Also had a work setup, which came in handy. The house was a bit crammed with lots of furniture but it never bothered us 🙂 The owner was very sweet very well, defo a recommended stay

  Хозяин квартиры быстро отвечал на все запросы перед заселением. В момент заселения он был на месте, был доброжелателен, всё показал и рассказал.
  На кухне было всё необходимое, всё работало. Есть всё необходимая мебель.
  Центр города был поблизости, как и достаточно большие магазины.
