Mini Home Bookshop Studios Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Mini Home Bookshop Studios, you immediately get why this place has such a devoted following. It’s not your typical hotel — honestly, it feels more like staying in a friend’s carefully curated apartment that happens to be filled with books. The three-star rating might seem modest, but this place punches way above its weight class. Located right on Z. Sierakausko gatvė in the Naujamiestis district, you’re literally in the thick of everything that makes Vilnius special.

Location & Neighborhood

The location here is genuinely fantastic — I mean, couples rate it 8.6 out of 10, and after spending time in the area, I totally get it. You’re a short walk from the Old Town’s cobblestone streets, but you’re also right in the heart of the newer cultural scene. The Naujamiestis district has this great energy where locals actually hang out, not just tourists taking selfies. Plus, there’s free private parking, which anyone who’s tried to park in European city centers will tell you is basically like finding gold.

The Studios

Each room feels like a mini literary retreat — hence the name, I suppose. The bookshop theme isn’t just decoration; there are actual books everywhere, and you can tell someone put real thought into the selection. The studios come with a compact kitchenette that’s surprisingly well-equipped for the space. You know what I really appreciated? The attention to small details, like proper reading lights and comfortable seating areas where you can actually relax with a book or plan your day.

What Makes It Special

This isn’t a place trying to be something it’s not. The staff genuinely seems to care about books and travel, and they’re full of recommendations for both local restaurant spots and hidden corners of the city you won’t find in guidebooks. The whole vibe is relaxed and intellectual without being pretentious — sort of like that perfect neighborhood café where you end up staying longer than planned. The building itself has character too, with those high ceilings and large windows that let in tons of natural light. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to settle in and explore.

Why Guests Love It

People keep coming back here because it offers something most hotels don’t — a sense of place that feels authentic to Vilnius. You’re not just sleeping somewhere; you’re staying in a space that reflects the city’s literary culture and creative spirit. The combination of the excellent location, thoughtful design, and that rare feeling of staying somewhere that locals would actually choose themselves makes this place stand out. For the price point, you’re getting way more personality and local flavor than you’d find at a standard chain hotel, and honestly, that’s what makes travel memorable.

Reviews of Mini Home Bookshop Studios

  • Chad from United States (9/10)

The apartment has a lot of space. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a mini fridge. There was not much street noise so easy to sleep. The 3G bus from the airport stops about 5 minutes away so it was very convenient. There is a lockbox outside the front door with keys so check-in was convenient. We really liked the neighborhood bar in the front of the building with great beer selection and a foosball table and dartboard.

  • Vladimir from Turkey (8/10)

  • Frunko from Czech Republic (8/10)

Close to a bus stop going directly to/from the airport, super easy check-in, very spacious, very comfortable beds, clean. A supermarket and two cafes (for breakfast) 500m away. Good vlaue/price ratio. Approx 15-20 min by foot to the historic city center or to the modern city.

  • Katja from Germany (9/10)

Spacious studio with good storage options for clothes etc and many amenities making your stay more comfortable (iron, extra blankets, maps, kitchen utensils etc). I particularly liked the big table and the scarlet curtains blocking the lights.
