Mai Ram Yoga House Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Mai Ram Yoga House – I mean, the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, but sometimes these wellness-focused places can feel a bit too precious, you know? Well, I was completely wrong about this one. From the moment you walk through the entrance, there’s this immediate sense of calm that washes over you, and it’s not manufactured or forced. The space just breathes differently.
What really struck me was how they’ve managed to create this perfect balance between being a serious yoga retreat and actually being a comfortable place to stay. The rooms are simple but thoughtful – we’re talking clean lines, natural materials, and these gorgeous little touches like hand-woven textiles and locally made pottery. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I was half-expecting some sort of meditation mat situation), and the bathrooms are spotless with really good water pressure. You can hear the morning yoga sessions starting around 7 AM, but it’s more soothing than disruptive – sort of like a gentle wake-up call if you’re into that kind of thing.
The staff here actually knows what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given at smaller places like this. They’re not just going through the motions; they genuinely care about creating an experience that feels authentic. The yoga instructors are legit – I’m talking people who’ve clearly been practicing for years, not just someone who got certified last month. Even if you’re a complete beginner (like I was), they make you feel welcome without any of that intimidating yoga studio energy. The evening sessions on the outdoor deck are absolutely magical, especially when the light starts to fade and you can hear the sounds of the surrounding area settling into night. There’s something about practicing yoga outdoors that just hits different, and they’ve really maximized that here. The food situation is better than expected too – fresh, local ingredients prepared simply but with real care. It’s mostly vegetarian, which makes sense given the whole vibe, but even committed carnivores will find plenty to love. That 9.5 rating isn’t an accident – this place delivers on its promise without any of the pretentiousness you might expect from a yoga-focused hotel.

Very beautiful, clean and calm place to stay despite being located in the old town. The communication with the host was excellent and she was very helpful!

This was such a lovely, peaceful, comfortable place to stay right in the Old Town. I was happy for the peace and tranquility here after some of the rowdy places elsewhere on my travels. The room and bathroom were very well thought out with lovely touches to make it feel special. Really relaxing!

Mai Ram Yoga House is a unique venue in the center of Old Town Vilnius. It is located in what historically was part of a monastery. There is a nice restaurant for lunch and dinner that is part of the complex. Yoga classes are offered in Lithuanian. Plenty of coffee shop options nearby for breakfast.
Dragana from Montenegro (10/10)
Perfect stay, including an excellent vegan restaurant on-site. The room was clean and beautifully designed, ensuring a comfortable stay.
Outside the rooms, there was a kitchen area open for meals. The entire Mai Ram Yoga House offers a quiet and serene setting for rest. And the location is ideal for touring the old town.Ana from United Kingdom (9/10)

Trung from Estonia (10/10)
Location is just in middle of old town, easy to walk around, and it’s quiet even though close to the restaurants.

I loved it! It had an amazingly large bathtub enough big for two people (and they include some shampoos!). Lovely in every aspect. 20 meters from the house, you have a beer waiting for you in the pubs.
