I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Luxury Pilies Avenue Apartment on cobblestoned Pilies Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a “luxury apartment” squeezed into Vilnius Old Town. But you know what? This place actually delivers on that promise, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The location is pretty much unbeatable if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re literally steps from Pilies Street’s main stretch where all the amber shops and tourist crowds gather during the day, but here’s the thing – once you duck into the building, it’s surprisingly quiet. I was worried about street noise (especially during summer when the outdoor cafes stay busy until late), but the windows are solid and you can barely hear the foot traffic. The apartment itself feels genuinely upscale without being stuffy – think clean lines, quality finishes, and that kind of minimalist design that actually works in these old buildings. The bathroom has this rainfall shower that I honestly didn’t want to leave, and the kitchen is properly equipped if you grab ingredients from the morning market at Cathedral Square.

What really sold me on this place was how it strikes that perfect balance between being central and feeling like a real home base. You can walk to Gediminas Castle Tower in about eight minutes (I timed it), and Užupis – that quirky artist district everyone talks about – is basically around the corner. The building has this old-world charm from the outside but everything inside feels modern and well-maintained. Check-in was smooth, no weird key pickup locations or anything complicated like that. I actually appreciated that they give you proper local recommendations too, not just the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little wine bar on Stiklių Street that I never would have found otherwise. The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t need a car when you’re staying right here – everything worth seeing in the Old Town is walkable, and there’s decent public transport if you want to venture further out. With a 9.5 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make visitors happy, and after staying here, I can see why people keep coming back.
