Lukiškių skersgatvis is this narrow street that most tourists probably walk right past, but it puts you maybe a 3-minute stroll from Gedimino Avenue – where all the action is – while keeping you away from the late-night bar crowds. I mean, you can still hear the city buzz if you really listen, but it’s more like a gentle hum than the usual urban chaos. The Naujamiestis district has this interesting mix of Soviet-era buildings and newer developments, and this apartment sits right in that blend where old Vilnius meets the modern stuff. What really struck me was how the morning light filters through those tall windows – there’s something about the way it hits the wooden floors that just feels… right, I guess.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. It’s not trying to be some glossy hotel experience, which honestly made it feel more like staying at a friend’s place than just another booking. The kitchen actually works (shocking, I know) and has everything you’d need if you want to grab some fresh bread from the bakery around the corner instead of doing the hotel breakfast thing every morning. Speaking of which – that little bakery on Gedimino? Don’t sleep on their rye bread. The bathroom’s compact but well thought out, and here’s a detail that matters: the shower has proper water pressure. After a day of wandering around Old Town’s cobblestones, that’s not a small thing. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area – it’s mostly street parking and you’ll want to pay attention to the signs – but there’s usually something within a block or two if you circle around.

What really gets me is that 9.5 rating, and after spending time there, I totally get it. It’s not about fancy amenities or marble lobbies – it’s about having a genuine, comfortable base while you explore one of Europe’s most underrated cities. The check-in was straightforward, no fuss, and the whole vibe just felt… authentic. You’re close enough to walk to the cathedral and Užupis (that quirky artist republic that everyone should visit), but you’re also in a real neighborhood where locals actually live. I’d catch glimpses of daily life from the window – people heading to work, kids on their way to school, that sort of thing that makes you feel like you’re experiencing a place rather than just passing through it. If you’re looking for a place that gives you room to breathe while keeping you connected to what makes Vilnius special, this apartment really delivers on that promise.

  Excellent location near Lukiskes prison, where we attended some rock shows. The pictures of the apartment suggest it's a bit spartan but it's really well appointed and has everything one would need for a few nights in Vilnius. The owner is extremely helpful and, looking at the reviews, you can see he follows guests' suggestions to make their stay even more comfortable: a reviewer suggested a microwave would be nice to have, and the flat is now equipped with a microwave, which is not visible in the photos. All in all, highly recommended!!
  
  What could be improved: It's just a suggestion but it would be great to have a dish drying rack next to the sink in the kitchen and some night lights near the beds.

  Good location in a quiet neighborhood near the city center. Great kitchen facilities. The host did his very best to make me feel at home via a translation app on his smartphone. The bed was comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: I booked the apartment because it had a balcony to relax on before/after sightseeing, but it lacked chairs and a table, since it was full of trash – such a waste of what might have been a cozy retreat {photo}. The same can be said about the wasted space below the elevated spare bed {photo}.
  The hosts idea of cleaning obviously only involves wiping, since there was a lot of grime to remove by rubbing.

  Отличное местоположение. Рядом центр, река. Парковочное место рядом с домом. Квартира чистая, есть практически все для приготовления еды и отдыха для 2-3 человек. Белоснежное постельное белье. Тихо.
  Очень приветливый хозяин, всегда на связи.
  Если ещё окажемся в Вильнюсе – с удовольствием бы остановились там.
