You know what caught me off guard about Loft 13? Walking into this place doesn’t feel like entering a typical hotel at all – it’s more like your design-savvy friend decided to open up their incredibly cool apartment building to guests. Located on Žirmūnų gatvė in what locals call the Žirmūnai district, it sits in this interesting part of Vilnius that’s definitely residential but still walkable to the old town if you don’t mind a pleasant 20-minute stroll along the river.

The loft concept here is actually genuine, not just some marketing term slapped on regular rooms. I mean, you’ve got these industrial-chic spaces with exposed beams and concrete elements, but somehow they’ve managed to make everything feel warm rather than cold and sterile. The staff – honestly, they run this place more like a boutique guesthouse than a hotel, which explains that ridiculous 9.8 rating. They actually remember your name and seem genuinely interested in making sure you’re sorted. I was surprised by how quiet it gets at night too, considering you’re still technically in the city. The neighborhood has this lovely residential vibe where you’ll hear birds in the morning instead of traffic (well, mostly).

What I really appreciate is how they’ve positioned themselves. Sure, it’s a 3-star property on paper, but the attention to detail feels more premium than that suggests. The design choices are thoughtful – think Scandinavian minimalism meets industrial warehouse, but executed by someone who actually understands how people live in spaces. Plus, being in Žirmūnai puts you close to some genuinely good local spots that tourists usually miss entirely. There’s this excellent coffee place just a few blocks away that the locals frequent, and you can walk to Vingis Park when you need some green space. The area around Žirmūnų gatvė has been quietly developing over the past few years, so you get that sense of discovering somewhere before it becomes too popular. Parking is actually manageable here too – something that can’t be said for staying right in the old town. If you’re the type who likes having a genuine base rather than just a place to crash between tourist activities, this spot really delivers on creating that home-away-from-home feeling without the pretension.

  Alles was nieuw, er is een wasmachine, vaatwasser, bijzonder praktisch veel opbergruimte en prima internet. Perfecte uitvalsbasis, gratis parkeren en supermarkt, mall en restaurants direct in de buurt. Ideaal voor vakantie, maar ook voor werk / studie.
  Zelfs wasmiddel was aanwezig, praktische indeling.
  
  What could be improved: Er is geen lift, er zijn 4 relatief korte trappen, hou hier rekening mee.
