You know what surprised me most about Loft 12? Walking into what looks like just another apartment building on Žirmūnų Street and finding this surprisingly stylish little gem tucked inside. I mean, the Žirmūnai district isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but honestly – that’s part of what makes this place work so well.

The lobby hits you with this clean, minimalist vibe that actually feels authentic rather than trying-too-hard trendy. The staff behind the desk were genuinely friendly when I checked in, not that rehearsed hotel politeness you get elsewhere. My room had this lovely industrial-meets-cozy thing going on – exposed brick here and there, but with soft lighting that made everything feel warm rather than cold. The bed was actually comfortable (you never know with boutique places), and I appreciated the little kitchenette setup. Nothing fancy, but perfect for making morning coffee or storing some groceries from the Maxima that’s practically around the corner. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the old town, which sounds far but really isn’t – and the walk takes you along some interesting residential streets where you get to see how locals actually live in Vilnius. There’s decent public transport nearby if walking isn’t your thing, and I noticed plenty of parking spaces on the surrounding streets (something that’s genuinely hard to find closer to the center). The neighborhood has this quiet, residential feel – you’ll hear kids playing in courtyards rather than tourist crowds, which I found pretty relaxing after long days exploring the city. There are a few local cafés and restaurants within walking distance, including this little Georgian place that the hotel staff recommended – definitely worth trying if you’re feeling adventurous. The area gets properly quiet at night, so if you’re a light sleeper like me, you’ll appreciate not having to deal with late-night party noise. Honestly, for a 3-star place, they’ve really nailed the balance between being stylish and comfortable without breaking the bank. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those places that just gets the basics right and adds enough personality to make you remember it fondly.

  What could be improved: Kažkur šalia visą naktį vyko garsus balius, šauksmai ir garsi rusiška muzika neleido miegoti. O išaušus šeštadienio rytą apie 7-8 val kažkas pradėjo statybų darbus garsiu pjovimu. Realiai likom be miego.
