Little Provence Home Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Little Provence Home on Pylimo Street, you might actually miss it at first — it’s tucked into a charming Old Town building that feels more like stepping into someone’s carefully curated apartment than a typical hotel. The entrance has this intimate, almost secretive quality that I honestly found refreshing after staying in so many cookie-cutter places. You know what struck me immediately? The attention to detail in the common areas, with vintage touches and that sort of lived-in elegance that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another room.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Pylimo Street — it’s perfectly positioned between the tourist chaos and actual local life. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Cathedral Square and all the main sights, but step outside Little Provence Home and you’ll find yourself among cafes where locals actually drink their morning coffee. I mean, couples clearly get this location because they’ve rated it so highly, and I can see why. The cobblestone streets around here are ideal for those romantic evening strolls, plus you can easily walk to Gediminas Tower or duck into one of the cozy wine bars that line the nearby streets.

The Rooms

The three-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story here — these rooms punch well above their weight class. My space had this lovely Provençal-inspired design (hence the name, obviously) with soft pastels and vintage furniture that actually looked authentic rather than mass-produced. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and honestly, the little kitchenette setup was perfect for preparing simple meals with ingredients from the nearby markets. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything felt despite being right in the Old Town — the windows must be well-insulated because I barely heard any street noise at night.

Practical Touches

Little Provence Home gets the small stuff right in ways that bigger hotels often miss. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, the shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters in older Vilnius buildings), and there’s enough storage space for a week’s worth of clothes. The staff — well, it’s more like having helpful hosts than formal hotel service — were genuinely knowledgeable about the neighborhood and gave me restaurant recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. They also helped arrange a taxi to the airport without any fuss, which saved me the headache of figuring out the logistics on departure day.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it strikes that perfect balance between authentic local character and reliable comfort. You’re not getting fancy amenities or room service, but you are getting a genuine taste of what it feels like to live in Vilnius Old Town for a few days. The couples who rave about this place have figured out what I discovered — sometimes the best travel experiences come from staying somewhere that feels real rather than polished. At this price point in such a prime location, Little Provence Home delivers exactly what it promises: a charming, well-located base for exploring one of Europe’s most underrated capitals.

Vilnius’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Lithuanian tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring cultural tour services and authentic Baltic hospitality.

Reviews of Little Provence Home

  • Phillip from Greece (7/10)

The owner was very responsive and the location was good 0

  • Eva from Czech Republic (7/10)

    The location was great.
There was no need for the owner to be present as check in and check out was done through great instructions and safety box with Keys.
The aparment was kinda clean, there was some smell from the used mop.
The aparment had everything that was needed but it is really small. It is ok for 1 or 2 people, but not more.

  • Jan from Slovakia (9/10)

Nice apartment in great location, 20 minutes to the centre. Only paid parking on the street available. From all parking apps offered, only UNIPARK app works. However, this app is in lithuanian language so it may be tricky to use it 🙂
There is a vere good craft beer pub with really local food nearby: Šnekutis…I think one of the best on my baltic trip.

  • Aida from Australia (8/10)

Was great apartment for the price and expectations. Will defiantly book again.

    Very close to the city.

  • Andrzej from Poland (9/10)

    1. The apartment on the border of the red and blue parking zone, i.e. on Sunday you can park for free close to the apartment to unpack or pack luggage.
    2. A lot of restaurants and bars in the area, as well as the modern art museum "MO".
    3. Convenient and easy accommodation to the apartment with a coded key box.
4 The apartment is quite clean, cleaned, basic toiletries and towels are available, as well as clean bedding and reasonably clean blankets.
    5. There are some other amenities available that we did not use, e.g. TV, microwave.
    6. Very good contact with the owner, who gave hints, for example, about parking.

    I recommend
