Lazdyneliu Vingis, free underground parking, long stays welcome Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Lazdyneliu Vingis, I wasn’t expecting much. The name’s a bit of a mouthful (locals just call it “the Vingis place”), and Lazdynai isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away in residential neighborhoods where real people actually live.
The thing that immediately won me over was pulling up to Žaibo gatvė and realizing I could actually park underground – for free. I mean, if you’ve ever tried to find parking in Vilnius’ Old Town, you’ll understand why this felt like winning the lottery. The building itself sits in this quiet corner of Lazdynai, and honestly, the area’s got this authentic Lithuanian vibe that you just don’t get in the touristy zones. There’s a small grocery store around the corner where the cashier will try to teach you Lithuanian words, and the morning sounds are just… normal life happening. Birds, maybe someone’s radio playing quietly, the occasional dog walker. It’s refreshing after staying in city centers where construction starts at 7 AM.
What really surprised me was how thoughtfully everything’s set up inside. The apartment (because that’s really what this is – a proper apartment that happens to welcome travelers) feels like someone’s actual home, not a sterile hotel room with generic art. The kitchen’s fully equipped – I actually cooked dinner a couple nights because there’s something nice about making coffee in your pajamas instead of hunting for an open café. The Wi-Fi’s solid too, which matters if you’re working remotely or just trying to figure out your next day’s plans. Actually, that’s another thing – they genuinely welcome longer stays, which you can tell because there’s enough closet space for more than three days’ worth of clothes, and the bathroom’s stocked like someone expects you to settle in for a while.
Getting around from here is easier than you’d think. There’s a bus stop maybe two minutes’ walk away, and honestly, the ride into central Vilnius takes about the same time as walking from some of the “centrally located” hotels to the actual sights you want to see. Plus, Vingis Park – where the place gets its name – is right there if you want to go for a run or just escape the city buzz for an hour. I spent a morning wandering around the park with my coffee, watching locals walk their dogs and elderly folks doing their morning exercises. It felt like getting a peek into how Vilnius actually works when tourists aren’t around.
The 9.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be fancy or impress you with marble lobbies – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. Clean, comfortable, practical, and run by people who seem to understand that travelers want to feel settled, not like they’re camping out in someone else’s idea of luxury. If you’re the type who appreciates having actual space to spread out and doesn’t need a concierge, this place gets it right.

What could be improved: bed mattress on the hard side, depends if you like itIt is not worth the price. – Dmitri from Estonia – July 20, 2025 (5/10)
Air conditioner. Forced ventilation.
Area was nice and surrounded with fence + closed underground parking.
Children playgrounds, store nearby and a forest nearby where you can go walking.
Location is nice and very easy to find and access.
What could be improved: The apartment is worn out already.
Pillows and blankets need to be renewed.
They have yellow stains (towels and sheets were washed and clean)
It was not clean overall. The kitchen was in a state like somebody was cooking before we arrived and forgot to clean. There were grease stains on every kitchen furniture.
All soap dispensers were empty.
Bathroom carpet had damp smell, it was not very pleasant. Washing machine handle was broken.
The ventilation is making sound like something is broken inside, it's disturbing sleep.
You can't turn the handle on the windows in closed position, because they won't go there. So the windows needs to be left in ventilation position.
Bedroom closet has inside light. But the doors wont close correctly, so the light comes on after 30sec. And stays on for quite a while.Wonderful – Dorota from Poland – August 19, 2025 (9/10)
Olime väga rahul ,ilus puhas hubane korter, uues majas! – Annely from Estonia – July 2, 2025 (10/10)
Asukoht vaikne ja lastesõbralik.Koreter väga ilus ja puhas.
What could be improved: Kuna peatusime majutuses 7 päeva oleksime vajanud ehk natuke rohkem nõusid.Suuremaid kausse kus toiduained segada, salatit teha jne.
