I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Kesminta Apartments, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard three-star setup. But you know what? Sometimes those unassuming places end up surprising you the most, and this one definitely falls into that category.

The thing about Kesminta is that it gets the basics really, really right. I mean, sure, you’re not getting marble lobbies or complimentary champagne, but what you are getting is this refreshingly straightforward approach to hospitality that actually works. The apartments themselves are more spacious than you’d expect – and I say this as someone who’s been crammed into plenty of “cozy” European hotel rooms over the years. There’s something genuinely homey about the way they’re set up, with proper kitchenettes that aren’t just for show (the coffee maker actually makes decent coffee, which is rarer than it should be). The staff has this lovely way of being helpful without hovering, if you know what I mean. They’ll point you toward the good local spots without the usual tourist trap recommendations, and honestly, their check-in process is smoother than places charging twice as much.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it feels once you settle in for a few days. The neighborhood has this authentic, lived-in quality – you’ll hear families chatting on balconies in the evenings, catch the smell of someone’s dinner cooking, maybe spot a cat or two lounging in the courtyard. It’s not Instagram-perfect, but it’s real in a way that makes you feel less like a tourist passing through. The soundproofing is surprisingly good too (learned that lesson the hard way at other places), so you can actually get a decent night’s sleep. I noticed they keep the common areas genuinely clean without that overpowering chemical smell some places have, and there’s usually decent water pressure – look, these details matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me because this isn’t about luxury, it’s about doing the fundamentals well and creating a space where you can actually relax and recharge between adventures.

  Hi, the location is excellent – I took a train from Riga To Vilnius, and I walked from the bus station,.
  It is very close to the center, the heart of the city. You can easily walk there in 10 minutes, cafes are all around, shopping spots, so I was very lucky to choose this apart-hotel. Very quiet and tiny. Very safe, that is important.

  Larger apartment of the two rented was stunningly beautiful and spacious. It was very clean and comfortable. Smaller apartment was nice, too, but not as special. Location was fantastic and noise wasn't a problem because we faced the courtyard. Parking was easy because we luckily got a spot in the courtyard.

  Very central, easy walking distance from everywhere – note: it's a 15 min walk from the closest 3g bus stop (the airport bus) or about 20 min walk from the train station, unless you take another bus.
  But the room was extremely clean, very friendly stuff and everything in the room worked just fine. Comfy bed, electric kettle, fridge… And quiete (yes, there was construction happening, but they only start working around 8 am) and it was okay.
