kauno street home Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to kauno street home on a quiet street in Naujamiestis, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. That’s actually part of its charm, honestly. This four-star property feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than checking into a traditional hotel, which I mean, is exactly what some travelers are looking for these days. The attention to detail throughout the property creates an inviting atmosphere that immediately puts guests at ease.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Kauno gatvė — you’re literally in the heart of Vilnius without the tourist crowds breathing down your neck. I’ve walked from here to the Old Town countless times, and it’s maybe ten minutes on foot to Cathedral Square. The location score of 9.2 isn’t just marketing fluff; couples especially seem to love it here, probably because you can easily stroll to romantic dinner spots but still retreat to this quieter residential street. You know what’s great? There’s a decent grocery store just around the corner, which comes in handy more often than you’d think. The neighborhood truly offers the best of both worlds for travelers seeking authentic local experiences.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup here is what sets kauno street home apart from your typical hotel experience. Each unit has its own kitchen, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money during my stay — breakfast ingredients from that nearby grocery store cost a fraction of hotel dining. The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed, not just thrown together like some apartment rentals. Everything felt intentional, from the lighting to the way they’d arranged the furniture to maximize the space. The combination of comfort and functionality makes this property ideal for extended stays or travelers who value culinary flexibility.

Practical Considerations

Let’s talk about the stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. The WiFi works properly (I had video calls without issues), and the building is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep well. Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood — it’s street parking mostly, so factor that in if you’re driving. The check-in process is smooth, though it’s more like getting keys to an apartment than the full hotel reception experience some people expect. These practical details help guests plan their stay more effectively and understand what to anticipate upon arrival.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.5 rating reflects something I noticed during my stay — this place just works for people who want independence without sacrificing comfort. You’re not dealing with hotel breakfast schedules or worrying about disturbing other guests in paper-thin walls. The Naujamiestis location means you’re living like a local while still being close enough to hit all the tourist spots when you want to. Couples seem particularly drawn to the privacy and the romantic potential of cooking dinner together after exploring the city. It’s that sweet spot between a hotel and a rental that’s harder to find than you’d think. This property successfully bridges the gap for travelers seeking authentic, comfortable accommodations.

Reviews of kauno street home

  • Very Good – Kalliroi from Greece – August 17, 2025 (8/10)

Great location, easy to check in, quite apartment even though it is located at a central street. It is a beautifully decorated, cosy, well equiped, apartment, perfect for our 3 nights stay in Vilnius. We really enjoyed our stay there!

What could be improved: No black out curtains on the windows, that was a real problem for me , I had to wear a sleeping mask every night and a coffee machine would be a necessary asset for the apartment.

  • – – Sandra from Latvia – April 29, 2025 (10/10)

Very close to the station, the bus station and the historic centre.
The hosts are very helpful and answer questions immediately.
To enter the house, you have to press the code quickly, you don't have to look for the numbers on the display.

    What could be improved: –

  • Good appartment for 1-2 nights. – Vladislav from United Kingdom – September 16, 2024 (8/10)

I liked the position of the property and the friendliness of the host. I also liked the amount of soaps and shampoos and available towels. Also the teas and other little bonuses were helpful.

What could be improved: I wouldn't say I liked the bathroom rolling door. Needs a bit of improvement and isolation. Also, the shower head wasn't holding. I'd say the kitchen is good for 1-2 nights, but it is too small for longer stays. It would be good to have a hairdryer.

  • Charming place – Kateryna from Ukraine – July 30, 2024 (10/10)

Great accommodation for reasonable money. The location is great. It's very close to the bus station and railway station too. Inside apartment you will find everything for comfortable staying. It was pretty clean. And the patio was also charming. The owner is kind and hospitable.

  • Exceptional – Mina from Lithuania – May 27, 2024 (10/10)

Best value for money, Pretty good and very private.

  • Exceptional – Renata from Lithuania – April 6, 2024 (10/10)

The apartment has high ceilings, beautiful interior details, authentic old walls ☺️
The apartment has two rooms, with a citchen and WC between the rooms. The guest room is separate from the kitchen and has a large sofa bed, TV, many books and antique furniture, which only add to the uniqueness of the apartment… The other room, the bedroom, is also separate from the kitchen and has two floors: an upstairs anteroom for the child and a double bed downstairs. The mattress is quite comfortable.
We had a great time ☺️

  • Quite well-equipped apartment. – Thuy from Poland – March 17, 2024 (8/10)

the location was close to many attractions in Vilnius. It was a quiet place despite being on a ground level.

What could be improved: the shower curtain falls a little, and the kitchen counter was a bit small.

  • Highly recommend this apartment – Joanie from United Kingdom – June 7, 2023 (9/10)

Lovely flat, nicely furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. I slept on the bed settee as a single bed and found it very comfortable. Towels, and bedding provided. Also guest soap and shampoo provided.

Convenient location, only a short walk from the bus and train stations. A bus stop right outside the front door too. It is also well placed to walk into the heart of the old town in about 20 minutes.

Our host was very quick to respond to any messages, which is very important.

What could be improved: Not so much a 'didn't like' as something that would be good to have. A microwave oven or perhaps a toaster would be useful as there is only a hob and kettle (both of which are excellent). Not an issue if you plan to eat out or bring in take away food.

  • Excellent – Solovyova from Belarus – May 9, 2023 (10/10)

Location is exceptional- close to the railway station and bus station and not far from the city centre (abt 20 min of walk). And the design of the apartment is very unusual, with a fireplace and a inner yard.

What could be improved: There is no sunlight in the apartment) it is not a drawback but maybe for some people it is crucial who is at home the whole day.

  • Exceptional – Виктория from Ukraine – February 7, 2023 (10/10)

It was the best apartment I lived in! It is really great and cozy!10/10
