You know what caught me off guard about Kauno Loft – Lollo Luxury? The name honestly sounds way fancier than what you’re actually getting, but here’s the thing – that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I stayed here last spring when I needed something affordable in Naujamiestis, and while it’s definitely more “comfortable apartment” than “luxury loft,” it actually worked out perfectly for what I was doing in Vilnius.

The location on Kauno gatvė is pretty solid if you know the area. You’re right in the heart of Naujamiestis, which means you can walk to most of the newer restaurants and cafes without dealing with Old Town’s tourist crowds (though honestly, the cobblestones there kill your feet after a while anyway). There’s this great little coffee place called Mint Vinetu just around the corner that locals actually go to – not one of those Instagram traps. The building itself is one of those converted Soviet-era structures, so don’t expect pristine modern everything, but the rooms have character. Mine had these huge windows that let in tons of light, though the street can get a bit noisy during morning rush hour if you’re a light sleeper.

What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was. Check-in was quick, the staff spoke decent English, and the apartment had everything I needed – decent WiFi, a little kitchenette that actually worked, and enough space to spread out my stuff. The bathroom was small but clean, and the shower had proper water pressure, which honestly isn’t a given in some of these converted buildings. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind or anything – the furnishing is pretty basic and you can tell they’re going for that minimalist vibe partly out of budget constraints. But sometimes you just want a clean, quiet place to crash that doesn’t cost a fortune, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city anyway. The 6.4 rating seems about right – it’s perfectly decent without being exceptional. If you’re coming to Vilnius and want to stay somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood apartment than a tourist hotel, and you don’t mind trading some polish for authenticity (and savings), this place does the job well.
