Jeruzale Hotel Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Jeruzale Hotel on Kalvariju street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 2-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you, and this little hotel in the Verkiai district actually has some real charm to it. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that I actually appreciated after dealing with overly polished chain hotels elsewhere.

What really won me over was the location – I mean, Verkiai is this lovely residential area that most tourists completely miss, but it’s honestly one of my favorite parts of Vilnius. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from Old Town (the 16 bus stops practically at the door), but here’s the thing – you get to experience how actual Lithuanians live instead of being stuck in tourist central. There’s this great little bakery just down Kalvariju street where locals grab their morning coffee, and if you walk about ten minutes toward the river, you hit Verkiai Regional Park. I spent a whole afternoon wandering those trails along the Neris River, and barely saw another soul. The hotel staff – and this surprised me – actually knew about the park’s best entrance points. One of them sketched out a little map for me, which was sweet.

The rooms are, well, exactly what you’d expect for the price point, but they’re clean and the beds are comfortable enough. I actually slept better here than at some fancier places because it’s genuinely quiet at night – none of that city center noise you get near Gedimino Avenue. The heating worked perfectly (visited in March when it was still pretty chilly), and honestly, the shower had better water pressure than my apartment back home. Check-in was smooth, no fuss, and they let me store my bags early which saved my back after dragging them around the city. The 7.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, it’s clean, the location is actually pretty great if you don’t mind a short bus ride, and the price point is hard to argue with. If you’re the type who wants to explore beyond the main tourist areas and doesn’t need fancy amenities, this place does the job really well.

Apartments in Vilnius provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Lithuanian markets and cook with regional Baltic specialties.
