Imperial Hotel & Restaurant Overview
You know what hit me first when I walked into the Imperial Hotel & Restaurant? The smell – not that generic hotel lobby fragrance they pump through the vents, but something warmer, like old wood polish mixed with fresh flowers. It’s the kind of scent that tells you this place has been doing hospitality for a while and actually cares about the details that matter.
I’ll be honest, five-star hotels can sometimes feel a bit stuffy, but this one strikes that sweet spot between elegant and approachable. The staff doesn’t hover (thank god), but somehow they always appear exactly when you need something. I mean, I dropped my keycard in the elevator once and before I could even think about trudging back to the front desk, someone was already there with a replacement. The rooms themselves – well, they’re what you’d expect from a place with this kind of rating, but there’s character here beyond just thread counts and marble countertops. The windows actually open (revolutionary concept, right?), and if you’re lucky enough to snag a higher floor, the views are honestly pretty spectacular, especially around sunset.
The restaurant part isn’t just an afterthought either, which is refreshing. I’ve stayed at plenty of fancy hotels where the dining feels like an obligation – decent food, terrible prices, you know the drill. But here, locals actually eat in the restaurant, which is always a good sign. The breakfast service runs until a civilized 11 AM (bless them), and their evening menu changes seasonally, so there’s actually a reason to eat there more than once. Parking was surprisingly painless – they have valet service that doesn’t make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them, and honestly, given how crazy downtown traffic can get, it’s worth every penny. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators can be a bit slow during peak check-in times, but that’s hardly a dealbreaker when everything else runs so smoothly. What really sold me on this place though was how they handled a mix-up with my reservation – instead of the usual runaround, they upgraded me without making a big show of it and had a bottle of local wine waiting in the room with a simple note. That’s the kind of service that turns a business trip into something you actually remember fondly.

Reviews of Imperial Hotel & Restaurant

Our stay at the Imperial Hotel was amazing! The hotel itself is very elegant and clean through and through. The rooms have a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a classy style. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and informative, especially Olga who was always enthusiastic about recommendations, directions, and how we were enjoying our stay. The California bar staff is fun and energetic. The location I don't think could be any better. My first couple hours at the hotel I sat outside the California bar and ate a well cooked grilled steak while staring across an Old Town Square while listening to live Jazz musicians in the shadow of the Lithuania National Philharmonic Building bold and elegant architecture. I now understand the hotels decorated history and I cannot recommend staying here enough. We will definitely stay again.

The imperial hotel was definitely the nicest we stayed in on this trip to Europe. The hotel rooms had amazing cold ac that was on when we entered the room. It was clean and had a great coffee machine in the room. The bathroom was large and had a tub. The twin beds were actually two separate beds, definitely not something we experienced elsewhere. The breakfast was not as huge as many hotels, but it was tasty and had plenty of options. The location is right in the middle of everything. The price was also really reasonable.

The staff were very friendly, helped to show info on where to go etc. Breakfast was great to start the day, ala carte menu to choose and service was quick. Location of the hotel was perfect at the south side of the old town, less than 2 mins walk to the Gates of Dawn.
Rooms were old style architecture design etc but everything worked well.
Hotel gave a discount voucher to use at their restaurant, but didnt have the time, pity. Though that counts, still!
Good stay
