When I walked into the lobby, I wasn’t blown away by marble floors or chandeliers, but there was this comfortable, lived-in feeling that made me think “okay, I can actually relax here.” The staff at check-in were genuinely friendly (not that rehearsed hotel smile), and the whole process took maybe three minutes. I mean, when’s the last time that happened at a hotel?

The rooms are solid 3-star territory — nothing fancy, but everything works properly. The bed was actually pretty comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the shower had decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on. What I really appreciated was how quiet it was at night. I was expecting street noise or thin walls, but I slept through until morning without any of those mystery hotel sounds keeping me up. The view from my window wasn’t spectacular or anything, but there’s something nice about looking out at regular neighborhood life instead of a parking lot or brick wall. Oh, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout my stay — seems obvious, but you’d be surprised how many places still struggle with that basic necessity.

Here’s the thing about Hotel Panorama — it delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a well-run neighborhood hotel. The housekeeping staff clearly take pride in their work (fresh towels every day, bed made properly), and there’s always someone at the front desk who can point you in the right direction for whatever you need. I found myself chatting with the evening desk clerk about local restaurants, and she gave me a couple of recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. The breakfast setup is pretty standard continental fare, but the coffee was surprisingly good and they kept everything stocked even during the busy morning rush. Look, if you’re hunting for Instagram-worthy luxury or cutting-edge amenities, you’ll want to keep looking. But if you want a clean, comfortable place to sleep with people who actually seem to care about doing their jobs well — and at a price that won’t make your credit card weep — this place hits that sweet spot. I’d definitely stay here again, which is honestly the best compliment I can give any hotel.
