Everything worked properly (which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy, but we’ve all been in places where it isn’t), the beds were actually good for sleeping, and the whole setup felt thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together. I particularly loved that they didn’t go overboard with unnecessary fancy touches that just end up feeling fake.

What really won me over, though, was discovering all these little details that showed someone was paying attention. The water pressure in the shower was perfect – not one of those sad drizzles that make you question your life choices. The WiFi actually worked throughout the building, even in the lobby during busy evening hours when everyone’s trying to video call home. And here’s something I really appreciated: the place never felt chaotic or overpacked, even during what seemed like a pretty busy period. You could actually relax in the common areas without feeling like you were fighting for space. The location ended up being one of those happy accidents where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or tourist crowds right outside your window. I found myself walking to most places I wanted to visit, and there were some genuinely good local restaurants within easy reach – the kind of spots that locals actually go to, not just tourist traps. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Look, Hotel Apia isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s just a really solid, well-run place where everything functions the way it should and the people working there seem to genuinely want you to have a good time. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect, and that 9.1 rating isn’t just some fluke – it’s earned.

  We enjoyed our stay at this small and cozy hotel. Our room was beautifully designed and we felt safe and comfortable under the roof and the views of the church opposite and the swifts shooting across the sky. The AC was effective so we had comfortable temperatures even on a hot day. There is a lovely vegetarian restaurant in the same house and overall the location is great – central but quiet. We opted for breakfast at the five-star „mother“ hotel and were happy with that too.
  Overall, good value for money – would stay there again.
