Hook Studios Vilnius Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hook Studios Vilnius Old Town feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away on the fifth floor of a charming building right in the heart of the old city. This four-star property sits on Kauno gatvė, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot — I mean, you’re literally surrounded by cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. The moment you step inside, there’s this modern, minimalist vibe that somehow works perfectly against the historic backdrop of Vilnius.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely unbeatable — couples seem to get this, rating it 9.0 for romantic getaways, and I totally understand why. You’re a two-minute walk from Cathedral Square, and all those winding streets with their little cafes and artisan shops are right at your doorstep. Actually, being on the fifth floor means you get these incredible views over the old town’s red-tiled rooftops, which is something you don’t always find in centrally located hotels. The area comes alive in the evenings, but it’s never too noisy since you’re elevated above the street level.
The Room Experience
The studios here are thoughtfully designed — each room feels more like a stylish urban apartment than a typical hotel space. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail in the layout; there’s a proper kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just for show), which comes in handy when you want to grab some local ingredients from the nearby markets. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern with good water pressure — those little things that matter when you’re exploring the city all day.
Practical Perks
One thing that sets Hook Studios apart is how they’ve managed to blend convenience with character. The building itself has this historic charm, but everything inside works exactly as it should — fast WiFi, reliable heating, and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re in such a central location. The staff genuinely knows the area well and can point you toward the best local spots that aren’t overrun with tourists. I found their recommendations for nearby restaurants particularly helpful, especially for finding authentic Lithuanian cuisine.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try too hard to impress but just gets everything right. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how seamlessly everything works together — the prime location, the thoughtful design, and that feeling of staying somewhere that locals would actually choose. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, but it delivers exactly what you want from a base for exploring Vilnius Old Town. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend or just want to immerse yourself in the city’s medieval charm, this place gives you the perfect launching pad without any of the typical tourist hotel nonsense.
Hotels in Vilnius offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Baltic gem, with easy access to museums, galleries, and historic landmarks.

Reviews of Hook Studios Vilnius Old Town
After the initial shock of the ground floor entrance the apartments are a refreshing surprise.Great apartment – Jose from Botswana – August 12, 2025 (9/10)
The apartments are clean and well presented
What could be improved: The entrance on the ground floor needs some workVery Good – Payal from Switzerland – July 18, 2025 (8/10)
Pleasant interior, good kitchen, great view of city, nice cafe nearby, next door there's a supermarket
What could be improved: It is a big operation with many flats – I prefer smaller, more local places. But I should have read the listing more closely!
Everything must be done online. I imagine for many this is fine. But we had a problem with the form and it took time to reach someone to sort out. Once we did finally reach someone, she was very helpful.
The multiple messages to pay extra in order to chrck-in early or check-out late are annoying. Large hotels accommodate if they can and don't try to charge you.Wonderful – Vasekb from Czech Republic – July 15, 2025 (9/10)
clean, modern apartment in the center of the city
Wonderful – Dominik from Czech Republic – July 3, 2025 (9/10)
The location was great (only 5 minutes from the main station!), bed was comfortable, washing machine, electric stove, kettle, oven and a microwave oven available, great view from the window, we were very satisfied with our stay and can recommend even for longer stays in Vilnius!
What could be improved: The clunky elevator, but that's not the apartment owner's fault, the kitchen could be a bit better equipped (there was no bowl to mix ingredients in, nothing to stir with etc…) and there was only one toilet paper roll, which wasn't enough for 3 people for 6 nights…Very Good – Maksim from Israel – June 14, 2025 (8/10)
Check-in was effortless, and the directions to the property were very clear. The apartment was cozy and had everything a traveler might need — including a washing machine and a capsule coffee machine. The bed was comfortable, and overall, it was very well equipped.
I’d be happy to stay there again someday.
What could be improved: The windows face a lively road, so some noise was inevitable. The space was efficiently furnished, but if you're of a larger build, it might feel a bit tight to move around. There were a few stains on the bedspread, and the bathroom baseboard looked a little worn. Still, the price was reasonable, and the apartment was very comfortable for a solo stay.Cosy and close to the train station – Perle from Germany – June 12, 2025 (8/10)
Very close to the train station, very cosy: although the building from the outside looks really dodgy, the appartments are new and comfortable.
There is a supermarket downstairs in the same building and a bakery 4min on foot. The old town is like 10min on foot.
The view from the 5th floor is quite good with the Gediminas Tower and the Three Crosses Hill in the distance.
What could be improved: Unfortunately the shower didn't work when we arrived but the staff of Hook Studios was responsive and a plumber came the next evening.
Hook Studios has a separate message channel and it is quite tiring to look for the informations… did they come through airbnb, per e-mail, on their website…? In the end you have everything but must take screenshots or remember quite accurately with which media this information came to you.Wonderful – Philman from United States – May 20, 2025 (9/10)
Great accommodations.
Would book again – Akvile from Lithuania – May 11, 2025 (10/10)
Good location, clear instructions, clean place
Wonderful – Cristiano from Portugal – May 5, 2025 (9/10)
Everything was great. Around 20 minutes walking to city center, but good buses lines near the appartment.
Exceptional – Andrius from Lithuania – April 28, 2025 (10/10)
Great location, fully equipped, contactless check-in and check-out and really affordable.
