I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Home sweet home, cozy apartments, free underground parking, long stays welcome, I thought it was a bit much. Like, they really went all-in with that listing title, you know? But after staying here in Lazdynai for a week last spring, I actually get it. The place lives up to its rather enthusiastic name.

The location on Žaibo gatvė is one of those spots that tourists usually skip, but locals love – which honestly made my stay feel more authentic. Lazdynai is this residential district that’s about 15 minutes from Old Town by bus, and it’s got this calm, lived-in vibe that I found really refreshing after bouncing between crowded city center hotels. The building itself looks like typical Soviet-era housing from the outside (most of Vilnius does), but step inside and it’s been completely transformed into something genuinely cozy. The apartments have this warm, minimalist Scandinavian thing going on – lots of light wood, soft textures, and these huge windows that let in amazing morning light.

What really sold me was the underground parking situation. I mean, free parking in any European city is pretty rare, but having a secure spot right under the building? That’s gold, especially if you’re doing the Baltic road trip thing like I was. The apartment I stayed in had a full kitchen that actually worked – not one of those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken microwave. I’m talking real counter space, decent cookware, and a fridge big enough to stock up at the nearby Maxima grocery store. The bed was properly comfortable too, not just Instagram-pretty, and the shower had excellent water pressure (trust me, this matters after a long day exploring). You know what surprised me most? How quiet it was. Even with windows open on warm evenings, you mostly just hear birds and the occasional dog walker, not traffic or late-night party crowds. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout – I worked from the little dining table several mornings without any issues.

The whole setup really does feel designed for longer stays, which makes sense given that 9.8 rating. I can see why people extend their visits here. It’s not fancy in a flashy way, but everything just works well, and there’s something to be said for having your own space where you can actually unpack and settle in. Plus, the bus connections into central Vilnius are frequent and reliable – I never waited more than 10 minutes during the day.

  Very clean and bright place in a very calm neighborhood. Enough space for 4 people. Personally I loved the storage spase in the bedroom and at the entrance area – don’t need to keep all your stuff in your luggages..

  Квартира очень чистая и очень хорошо оборудована для клинтов. Хозяин чуткий и на каждый звонок, быстро откликался. Расположение хорошее , рядом река и лесок для прогулок. Хорошая квартира и есть подземный паркинг.
  
  What could be improved: Муниципалитет затеял ремонт дороги и из-за чего был затруднен заезд домой и выезд для того чтобы попасть на работу. Но это временно и думаю что с января 2025 года дорога должны быть готова и проблема снимется.
