You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Holiday Inn Vilnius by IHG when I first pulled up to Šeimyniškių street – honestly, the Snipiskes district isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But that’s actually what makes this place kind of brilliant. You’re about a 15-minute walk from Old Town (seriously, just head south and you’ll hit the river), but you’re staying in this quiet residential area where real Vilnius happens. The building itself is pretty sleek for a Holiday Inn – none of that dated corporate beige you sometimes get with chain hotels. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend avoiding Sunday evenings when there’s always a cluster of business travelers sorting out their week.

What really won me over was how they’ve nailed the details that matter when you’re actually living in a place for a few days. The rooms are genuinely spacious – I mean, I could fully open my suitcase on the floor and still walk around it, which is saying something for European hotel standards. The beds are properly firm (thank god), and the blackout curtains actually work, which you’ll appreciate since summer nights here barely get dark. The breakfast spread is honestly impressive – they’ve got this mix of international stuff and local touches like fresh rye bread and proper Lithuanian cheese. I spent most mornings there just because the coffee was decent and you could sit by those big windows watching the neighborhood wake up. Parking is included, which is huge if you’re driving – trust me, trying to find street parking in Vilnius old town will drive you nuts.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t a location where you’ll stumble out the front door into tourist central. But that 8.8 rating makes total sense once you settle in. The staff genuinely seems to care (the front desk guy remembered I was heading to Trakai and gave me actual useful tips about timing), the whole place feels clean and well-maintained, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that locals might actually choose too. You’re close enough to walk to Vingis Park for morning runs, and there’s a decent grocery store just down the street if you want to grab snacks or water. The area gets pretty quiet at night – sometimes almost too quiet if you’re used to city noise – but that means you’ll actually sleep well. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was mixing business with pleasure or wanted a proper home base without paying Old Town prices.

  Nice, very new looking hotel. Very modern and friendly design room. Second time we stayed there we were unexpectedly upgraded to executive floor (where we stayed the first time). The breakfast was almost fantastic (the variety of food was great). Very good bedding. Children stay for free.
  
  What could be improved: We were a bit confused with how to switch off the light in the bathroom, which has glass walls. The toilet doesn't have a lock. During peak time of breakfast we noticed a little lack of some products.

  What could be improved: We forgot kids toys in hotel room knowing they are or drawer and went back for them 2 h after checkout, ,but receptionist called someone to check and said that toys are not found in room drawer. It was very disappointing for kid.
  She called us again when we have left country and said that they are found,but we're not ready to drive 4 h to pick them up.
  In the end all was good as manager Lina was very nice and helped to find solution how to get toys to our country.
