Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Heart of Vilnius? The address – Bernardinų gatvė 6b-14 – sounds impossibly complicated until you realize you’re literally steps from St. Anne’s Church and those iconic Gothic spires everyone photographs. I mean, when I say steps, I’m talking maybe a two-minute walk to Cathedral Square, which honestly feels almost too good to be true for a 4-star place.
The thing about staying in Vilnius Old Town is that most hotels either dump you on some busy street where trams clatter by at 6 AM, or they stick you so deep in the maze of cobblestone alleys that Uber drivers give up trying to find you. This place actually gets the balance right – you’re on Bernardinų, which is quiet enough that you’ll sleep well (trust me on this, I’m a light sleeper), but you can still stumble back from Užupio Respublika after a few drinks without getting lost. The building itself has that restored medieval vibe without feeling like a theme park, if that makes sense. You’ll notice the thick walls immediately – they keep things cool in summer and surprisingly cozy when those Baltic winters hit.
What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to actually know Vilnius, not just the tourist highlights. When I asked about finding good cepelinai that wasn’t aimed at tour groups, the guy at reception gave me specific directions to this little place near Halės Market that locals actually eat at. That 9.6 rating isn’t just about thread counts and marble bathrooms (though honestly, both are pretty solid) – it’s because someone clearly thought about what travelers actually need. The WiFi works everywhere, even in that little courtyard area where you can sit with morning coffee. Parking was… well, let’s just say if you’re driving, prepare for the Old Town parking dance, but they’ll help you figure it out rather than just shrugging and pointing vaguely toward the street.
I stayed here during both peak summer and in February, and here’s the thing – summer gets busy around Cathedral Square, but step inside and it’s this calm pocket of quiet. February was almost magical, actually, with snow on those red tile roofs and hardly any crowds, though you’ll want to pack layers because Lithuanian winter doesn’t mess around. The rooms face different directions, so if you’re sensitive to morning light, mention it when booking. There’s something really satisfying about waking up and knowing you can walk to Gediminas Tower, browse the amber shops on Pilies Street, or grab coffee at one of those tiny cafes tucked into basement vaults – all before most of the day-trippers even figure out where they parked.
Vilnius hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Lithuania’s cultural capital, known for its stunning baroque architecture and rich historical heritage.

Lovely apartment and courtyard, fantastic location. – Larissa from United States – July 25, 2025 (10/10)
We loved Ben’s apartment in Vilnius old town. It’s in a courtyard accessed through an arched entrance and you can tell this and the neighboring apartments were once horse stables at some point in Vilnius’s long history. We couldn’t have asked for a better location with lots of historic sites nearby, as well as restaurants and cafes, a Rimi grocery store, and the bridge crossing over to the Republic of Uzupis. It’s also a 7-10 minute walk from the riverside bus stop where you can catch the No. 2 bus to the main train station (which is right next to the main bus station), so easy access to public transportation that can take you to places beyond Vilnius, like Trakai Castle. The apartment is even nicer in person, has both translucent curtains for privacy as well as heavy blackout curtains for summer nights. Ben was a really nice host, located nearby, and was available to help with any questions. Vilnius is an absolutely wonderful city! We highly recommend the view from the top of Gediminus Hill (walk up or take the funicular), the museum in the nearby Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (especially the two VR headset “tours” we did with our young son), and the super fun Museum of Illusions. If it’s available, stay here! Thank you, Ben!
What could be improved: Only thing to point out is the hardness of the sofa bed. While I prefer firm beds, it was even a little too firm for me. The main bed upstairs was very nice, though.Great loft at the heart of old town Vilnius – Vitalija from United States – July 23, 2025 (10/10)
Great location- close to the heart of old town while very quiet and secluded. Comfy bed, good amount of storage space. Loved vintage look of the loft. We had a parking spot which was great!
What could be improved: Shower could benefit from a small shelf for shampoo/ soap. Also, wood deck could use a fix as some pieces were loose.Good choice in the heart of old town. – Mark from United States – July 12, 2025 (10/10)
Nicely kitted out for two in a great location. Ben was a kind and helpful host.
What could be improved: Some people might find the stairs from the upstairs bedroom to the downstairs bathroom challenging at night.Great host, very responsive and thoroughly enjoyable stay! – Rosie from Australia – June 22, 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful comfortable accommodation right in the heart of the old town of Vilnius so ideal location. Property had everything needed for a 3 night stay and was extremely comfortable and quaint. The courtyard outside was a bonus. Host was extremely friendly and helpful and let us stay longer on the last day, which was so kind.

What could be improved: NoneA little gem! – Olga from Latvia – July 25, 2024 (9/10)
Ben and Ieva were exceptional hosts. You’re in the hustle and bustle of the Old Town and then you’re in a small courtyard with apple trees and birds. Amazing location. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and eager to make this gem even better!
The place has everything one might need for a small getaway in Vilnius. The bed was large and comfy, plenty of storage. Shower with good water pressure, washing machine. Stove with 2 hobs, oven, Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother. TV, wifi, all working well. The sofabed was comfy as well.
The neighbourhood has lots of restaurants and some food stores.
I wish Ben and Ieva not to lose their willingness to host and evolve! Ačiū!
