Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Vilnius, and Happy Inn VIP Lounge honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes the name of a place makes you expect either too much or too little? Well, this one delivers on the VIP part without being pretentious about it. It’s tucked away on Labdarių Street in the Old Town – and I mean properly in the Old Town, not one of those places that claims to be but you’re actually walking 20 minutes to get anywhere interesting.

The self check-in thing was actually pretty smooth, which I wasn’t expecting. You get the codes sent to your phone, and honestly, after a long day of travel, not having to make small talk with a desk clerk was kind of perfect. The building itself has that solid European feel – thick walls that keep the street noise down (though Labdarių is pretty quiet anyway, especially compared to the main tourist drags). What really got me was the attention to detail once you’re inside. The VIP lounge area isn’t just marketing fluff – there’s actually a dedicated space with decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since morning, and the seating is comfortable enough that I found myself hanging out there instead of rushing back to my room.

And can we talk about the parking situation? Because if you’ve ever tried to park in Vilnius Old Town, you know it’s basically a nightmare of narrow streets and confusing signs. They’ve got actual parking sorted out, which is huge if you’re doing a road trip through the Baltics like I was. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than you’d expect – I mean, we’re talking about a historic area where buildings weren’t designed with modern comfort in mind, but somehow they’ve managed to make it work. The bed was properly comfortable (not one of those too-soft European mattresses that leave you feeling like you slept in a hammock), and the bathroom had actual water pressure. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to wash off a day of walking around cobblestone streets.

What I really appreciated was how they managed to hit that sweet spot between boutique charm and practical comfort. You’re close enough to Cathedral Square and Gediminas Tower that you can easily walk there, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep. The neighborhood has a few local spots that aren’t overrun with tour groups – there’s a little café around the corner that does excellent coffee and pastries if you want to eat like a local instead of hitting the obvious tourist places. Honestly, for a four-star place with an 8.8 rating, it feels like they’re actually earning those numbers instead of just coasting on location.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Vilnius at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near historic attractions.

  I really liked the location, everything is close by. The apartments are modern, the environment is quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was not very clean, the walls in the bathroom were covered with toothpaste, the shower glass was not cleaned, and there was no toilet paper.

  What could be improved: Za mało przyborów kuchennych (tylko jeden garnek, brak obieraczki, małego ostrego noża, za mało dużych kubków). Nie działał nam też Netflix.
