So I’ve actually stayed at HaPPy Inn Egle twice now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. The first thing you notice is the self check-in system – which I was skeptical about, but it actually works perfectly. You get your code, punch it in, and you’re done. No waiting around for reception staff who might be dealing with someone else’s complicated booking issue.

The location on Labdarių street is pretty sweet if you know Vilnius at all. You’re right in the thick of Old Town, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos on Pilies street. I mean, you can walk to Cathedral Square in maybe eight minutes, but when you come back at night, it’s actually quiet. The AC is a godsend during those surprisingly muggy Lithuanian summers – you know how those medieval buildings can trap heat. And here’s the thing about parking in Vilnius Old Town that nobody tells you: finding a spot is basically a nightmare, but this place has an actual garage. Sure, it’s a tight squeeze getting in there (I watched someone spend ten minutes maneuvering a BMW), but once you’re in, you can forget about your car and just walk everywhere.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve kept some of the building’s character while making it actually functional. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out – like, someone actually considered where you’d put your suitcase and charge your phone. The beds are proper comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you feeling like you’ve been sleeping on cobblestones. Honestly, the whole place feels more like a well-designed apartment than a typical hotel room. The neighborhood gets lively on weekend evenings (there’s a decent bar scene around Stiklių street), but the windows do their job keeping the noise out. I’ve noticed they seem to keep things pretty well maintained too – no mysterious stains on carpets or that weird musty smell you sometimes get in older buildings. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be fancy, just solid and reliable. If you’re the type who likes exploring a city on foot and wants a comfortable base without paying resort prices, this place delivers. Just remember to pack light if you’re driving – that garage entrance is no joke.

  Ottima posizione, a due passi da un viale ricco di locali. Self check in molto comodo, dal momento che siamo arrivati molto tardi. Appartamento ben fornito (lavastoviglie, lavatrice, climatizzatore, attrezzi da cucina e anche condimenti base)
