You know what, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Guoda Apartments – honestly, the name doesn’t exactly scream luxury, and it’s technically a 3-star place. But sometimes those assumptions just bite you in the ass, because this place turned out to be one of those hidden gems that actually gets what travelers need.

The thing that struck me right away was how quiet it was inside, even though there’s definitely street life happening outside. I mean, you can hear the city – it’s not like you’re in some sterile bubble – but the windows do their job, and the walls are surprisingly solid. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s well-kept home than a typical hotel room. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I’ve stayed in places where the “kitchen” is basically a microwave and a prayer), with decent-sized fridges and stovetops that work properly. Little touches like proper coffee mugs instead of those tiny hotel cups, and drawer space that’s not just for show – it’s the kind of stuff that makes you think someone who actually travels had input on the design.

What really won me over was the staff, though. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no upselling or lengthy speeches about amenities. The front desk person actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give solid recommendations that weren’t just the tourist traps. When I asked about late-night food options, they mentioned this little place around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own – and it became my go-to spot for the rest of the trip. The housekeeping is consistent without being intrusive, and maintenance issues (I had a temperamental shower handle) got sorted quickly without the usual runaround.

Look, I’m not going to pretend this is the Ritz or anything. The furnishings are comfortable but definitely on the practical side, and if you’re looking for a pool or fancy lobby to Instagram, you’ll be disappointed. But that 8.6 rating isn’t inflated – it’s earned through doing the basics really, really well. The beds are actually comfortable, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and you’ve got enough space to spread out and live a little. For the price point, it’s honestly hard to find fault with what they’re offering. If you’re the type who values substance over flash and wants a place that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, Guoda Apartments delivers in ways that surprised me.

  Location is extremely good, makes this an obvious choice for anyone wanting to explore the old town. Facilities are convenient. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, staff are always welcoming and very helpful. All around excellent stay for me and my girlfriend!

  Easy self-check in and check-out during early/later arrivals.
  There's free coffee, iron & iron board available for guests. There are communal tea-point areas for guests. Rooms have a kettle, mini fridge, cups/ plates & cutleries for convenience.
  The lady looking after payments is very helpful and accommodating.

  I arrived in the morning and could store my luggage. Check In was at 3pm. The apartment ist great. It is very close to the centre, its bright very clean and spacious. The contact to the landlady was very easy. Even late chaeckout was possible. I will come back to Vilnius for sure, and stay here if available at the time. Thank you for the great stay

  The rooms are located in a traditional but restored building. Some of the old features have been kept but the rooms are very modern. Location is very quiet but still close to the old town as well as the market hall and the station. There are several small shops where you can get groceries just a few metres away. The staff is really friendly and flexible. Ohz and did I mention free coffee and tea that you can prepare freshly?The family that runs the apartment seem to be artist as paintings signed with Guoda can be viewed throughout the property.

  The host was really helpful on arrival. Storing my bag and giving lots of advice on public transport. Location is great too – so close to lots of shops, on the edge of the beautiful old town for lovely walks and runs and very close to the bus station too.
