Guest room in Old Town Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Guest room in Old Town? It’s actually tucked away in one of those narrow cobblestone streets where you’d never think to look for accommodations – I mean, I walked past it twice before realizing this was the place. The building itself has that weathered European charm where you can practically feel the history in the stone walls, though honestly, the entrance is so unassuming you might wonder if you’re at the right address.
The room surprised me in a good way. Sure, it’s not going to win any luxury awards (we’re talking solid 3-star territory here), but there’s something genuinely cozy about staying in what feels like a local’s spare room rather than some sterile hotel chain. The ceilings are higher than you’d expect, and the windows – well, depending on which side you’re on, you’ll either get a peek at the main square’s morning bustle or a quieter view of the residential courtyard where locals hang their laundry. I actually loved hearing the church bells in the early morning, though if you’re a light sleeper, just know they start around 7 AM. The bathroom’s compact but functional, and the shower pressure was surprisingly decent for an older building. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Old Town really winds down after the dinner crowds disperse, so you’re not dealing with party noise like you might expect in a historic district.
What really sells this place is the location, honestly. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the main cathedral square, but more importantly, you’re right in the middle of where actual residents live and work. There’s this little bakery just around the corner that opens at 6:30 AM (I may have become a regular), and the woman who runs the small grocery across the street somehow knows everyone’s business in the most charming way possible. The host was pretty responsive when I needed an extra blanket, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy paperwork or upselling attempts. I’d say this spot works best for travelers who want to feel like they’re staying in someone’s neighborhood rather than just visiting it. The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s comfortable and authentic without being fancy, and honestly, that’s exactly what I was looking for in Old Town.

Location was ideal – 10 min from the bus station, near by shops and the Old Town. The room was small, but comfy, equipped in the all things (towels, fridge, dryer) which you needed during the trip. A very comfy bed! In the room you will find guides to Vilnius in the few languages. Owner is very nice and helpful person – I'm very grateful that I was able to leave my luggage on the day of departure. Because of you, it was a great trip and I will be happy to return.

Easy to find and centrally located. Keep in mind that you have to look for the owner or the responsible person when you arrive as this is (like the name says) a "guest room". Was not focused enough, even though the responsible person was looking for me (as there is no reception).
