Grey House Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Grey House on Nemenčinės plentas, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name doesn’t exactly scream luxury, you know? But honestly, that turned out to be part of its charm. This 4-star spot sits in Antakalnis, which is actually one of my favorite neighborhoods in Vilnius – far enough from the tourist crowds in Old Town but still easy to reach everything that matters.

What really struck me was how the place feels like someone’s well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel. The rooms have this understated elegance that’s very… well, very Lithuanian actually. Clean lines, quality materials, but nothing flashy or trying too hard. You can tell they put thought into the details – the lighting is warm instead of that harsh hotel fluorescent, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so this matters). The staff genuinely seems to care about your stay, which sounds like marketing speak but I mean it. They remember your name after day one, and they’ll actually give you real recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the most expensive restaurants.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore like a local. Antakalnis has this lovely residential feel, and you can walk to some hidden gems that most tourists never discover. There’s a fantastic little coffee place just a few blocks away that locals frequent – the kind where they know how you take your coffee by your third visit. If you want to head into the historic center, it’s an easy tram ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk along the river. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either, which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will appreciate. The area gets quiet at night too – no drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM like you’d get near the cathedral.

The 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything just works smoothly. Check-in was seamless, the WiFi actually functions properly (crucial for anyone working remotely), and the breakfast – while not extensive – hits all the right notes with local touches alongside the standard continental options. I mean, you’re not going to get a massive buffet spread, but what they do offer is fresh and well-prepared. The whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured, if that makes sense. It’s the kind of place where you’d bring your parents when they visit, or where you’d stay yourself when you want to feel at home in Vilnius rather than like a passing tourist.

Early hotels booking in Vilnius requires advance planning during peak cultural seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s magnificent baroque architecture and vibrant arts scene.

Reviews of Grey House

  • Spacious and very comfortable apartment – Auste from Lithuania – June 17, 2025 (10/10)

We loved the spaciousness of the Grey House, the kitchen is very well-equipped, we cooked a lot and found everything we needed.
The bedrooms are spacious, as is the living space.
    The jacuzzi was a treat!
We would highly recommend this apartment.

What could be improved: Some maintenance is needed (feedback shared directly), but nothing major to complain about.

  • Can't think of anything bad in Mr. Grey place, will definitely come back as for apartmenet, as for Vilnius itself. – Jēkabs from Latvia – September 15, 2024 (10/10)

Atmospheric, spacious and very cozy place. Couple, or with kid, doesn't matter. Everyone will find a place there.

What could be improved: Everything was perfect.

  • Exceptional – Katarzynakkw from Poland – August 5, 2024 (10/10)

A unique apartment with many comfortable amenities. No issues with parking, easy access. The area is quiet and peaceful. The apartment is equipped with practically everything you need: toiletries, basic spices, coffee, tea. All devices are working. The owner is friendly and helpful – there was an issue with the app, and I wasn’t receiving messages, but we easily communicated in English and he resolved the problem remotely, ensuring everything was okay.

What could be improved: The bathroom door does not close properly, which might be uncomfortable if, for example, a group of friends is staying. Additionally, there were open, used toothpaste tubes left in the bathroom.

  • Excellent – Alenka from Slovenia – July 15, 2024 (10/10)

The equipment of the apartment, digitalization, kitchen, fitness corner, meditation corner, i robot..
The collection of Enzo organic cosmetics for using was also brilliant.

What could be improved: It was a little hot in the bedroom two. But that is a small thing.

  • Exceptional – Barr from United Kingdom – December 5, 2022 (10/10)

Absolutely amazing host, very helpful, always available on the phone.
Quite easy to get to the property, all of the codes that were required to get in have been provided.
The location is great, I used to live very close to this place 18+ years ago. Great restaurants near by, the forest is only a few minutes away, huge supermarkets all within a few minutes reach. It is also not too far from the city centre.
The flat was lovely, excellent design – something I personally really enjoyed, very stylish. I think people in their 30-40's would really like it.
I travel a lot, and I always tend to rent out flats rather than hotel rooms; this flat really surprised me with the quality of the amenities provided.
There were lots of cute dishes that I used for food and snacks for my birthday. Dishwasher was a helpful hand, the fridge was huge and had an ice machine (very handy!) I actually have pretty much the same fridge at home 🙂
GHD hair straightener, Dyson hair dryer, Hotpoint hob – all much appreciated and just what I needed away from home, as this is what I have at home myself and this is what I am used to.
I would most certainly recommend this lovely gem of the place, and would gladly return here myself.

  • Great property and host. – Mindaugas from United States – July 12, 2025 (10/10)

Comfortable for staying with the family. The host was responsive and helpful.
