You know what struck me first about Gabi B&B? It’s one of those places that feels like you’re staying at your cool aunt’s house – if your aunt happened to have impeccable taste and actually cared about making sure you had everything you needed. I mean, don’t let the 3-star rating fool you, because honestly, this place punches way above its weight class.

The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense of warmth that you just can’t manufacture. Gabi (yes, there’s an actual Gabi, and she’s lovely) has this way of making you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another booking number. The common areas have that lived-in comfort – think mismatched vintage furniture that somehow works perfectly together, books scattered around that people have actually read, and the kind of coffee setup that makes you want to linger over breakfast way longer than you planned. The rooms themselves are cozy without being cramped, and I appreciated little touches like the really good reading lights and the fact that the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the hallway. Actually, the whole place is surprisingly quiet – something I wasn’t expecting but definitely appreciated after a few nights at noisier spots.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that comes from someone who genuinely cares. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters), there are actual hangers in the closet, and the Wi-Fi works everywhere – even in that little garden area out back where I found myself working most mornings. Gabi knows the area inside and out, so if you need restaurant recommendations or want to know which local spots are worth your time versus tourist traps, she’s your person. The breakfast is simple but done right – fresh bread, local honey, coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around all morning. Nothing fancy, but everything you actually want. I’ve stayed at places with twice the rating that couldn’t nail these basics. The location works well too, close enough to get where you need to go without being in the middle of all the chaos. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though plenty of smart travelers have clearly figured it out already – that 9 rating didn’t come from nowhere.

  The room was amazing! I loved the furniture, everything was super clean, new and in perfect condition, I had lots of space and the location could have not been any better.
  Being able to grab my breakfast from the fridge at any time was also very convenient – plus, it was slightly different every day (always a sandwich, granola and some fruit). And unlimited coffee/tea!
