Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t worry about perfect marketing polish.

Located on Žaibo gatvė in the Lazdynai district, this place is actually a gem if you’re looking for something different from the usual Vilnius hotel scene. Lazdynai isn’t where most tourists end up – it’s more of a residential area about 15 minutes from Old Town – but that’s sort of the point. You get to see how locals actually live, and honestly, the apartment-style setup here makes perfect sense for longer stays. The free parking thing isn’t just a throwaway promise either; they actually have dedicated spots, which anyone who’s driven around Vilnius will tell you is worth its weight in gold. I mean, trying to find parking in the city center can turn a relaxing evening into a stress fest pretty quickly.

The apartments themselves have this cozy, lived-in feeling that grows on you. They’re not Instagram-perfect or anything, but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like a real home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchens are properly equipped – not just the usual mini-fridge and kettle situation – so if you’re staying for a week or more, you can actually cook decent meals. The neighborhood has a couple of small grocery stores within walking distance, and there’s this little café about five minutes away where the locals grab their morning coffee (they make a mean šakotis if you’re into traditional Lithuanian sweets).

What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night. Even though you’re still in the city, Lazdynai has this almost suburban feel once the sun goes down. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in the value – you’re getting way more space than a typical hotel room for probably half the price of staying in Old Town. The staff genuinely seems to care about longer-term guests too; they’ll help you figure out the best bus routes into the center and actually remember your name after a few days. Sure, it’s not fancy in the traditional sense, and if you need to be within walking distance of Gediminas Castle, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience Vilnius like you’re temporarily living there rather than just passing through, Fantasy House delivers on that promise in a surprisingly authentic way.

  The apartment is just right for a family. 3 rooms in total: 1 with double bed, another with 2 single beds (perfect for 2 kids) and living room with fully equiped kitchen and very large bathroom. New facilities and neighborhood. all is gated and very quiet, kids' playground on premises and parking spot included. very clean and roomy.
  
  What could be improved: we stated that we are coming with 2 kids, and no bedding on kids beds, just in the closet..,we arrived late and tired and wish we could just get into bed and won't need to make it…the rest was perfect.

  This is a perfect, comfy, luxurious, and spacious apartment. We had everything we needed for our stay (we only lacked some products to wash dishes, but that was such a small thing it didn't even affect our stay). The beds are comfortable, and the living room is spacious and cozy (lamps add a nice cozy touch). There's a PlayStation, so that was a nice bonus, and we spent hours playing some video games.
  
  Also, the surrounding area is amazing. You have beautiful nature (forest, river) nearby and can take a nice walk. Perfect if you want to spend a weekend further away from the busy city.
  
  What could be improved: there's nothing that we didn't like, the only thing I mentioned earlier is that there were not enough products to wash dishes. but that wasn't a big deal for us.

  The apartment is located in a quiet place, in the complex of houses, to which access is secured. A parking space is reserved for the accommodation.
  The apartment is new, very nicely and modernly furnished, very spacious.
  The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is clean and spacious. It is not far to the center by car.
  Communication with the owner was very fast, everything went perfectly.
