Daukanto Apartments Overview
You know what struck me first about Daukanto Apartments? It’s one of those places that completely defies its star rating – I mean, three stars usually sets pretty modest expectations, but this place honestly feels like you’re staying somewhere much more upscale. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve actually been there.
I’ll be honest, when I first walked into the lobby, I did a double-take. The design is this really thoughtful mix of modern touches with some classic Lithuanian elements that don’t feel forced or touristy – just genuinely welcoming. The apartments themselves are what really won me over though. Each one feels like someone actually lives there, not like a sterile hotel room where everything’s bolted down. The kitchens are properly equipped (I’m talking real coffee makers, not those terrible pod machines), and the living spaces have enough room to actually spread out your stuff without tripping over everything.
What I found really refreshing was how quiet it stays, even during busy periods. The building seems well-insulated, and honestly, after staying in some places where you hear every footstep from upstairs, that’s not something I take for granted anymore. The staff – and this might sound small but it matters – actually remember your name after the first day. They’re not overly chatty, but they know their neighborhood really well. I asked about finding a good bakery for breakfast supplies, and instead of pointing me toward some tourist trap, they sent me to this local spot that locals actually use. Those kinds of insider tips make such a difference when you’re trying to get a feel for a place rather than just passing through.
The location works really well if you want to explore on foot – you’re close enough to the main areas without being right in the middle of all the noise and crowds. I found myself walking to most places I wanted to see, which was perfect because you stumble across those little details you’d miss if you were always jumping in taxis or public transport. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly surprised me since that’s usually such a headache in European city centers.
Here’s what really sets it apart though – it’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days without feeling like you’re camping out. The apartments have enough personality and comfort that you’re not constantly reminded you’re in temporary accommodation. I ended up extending my stay by two nights because, well, why complicate things when you’ve found somewhere that just works? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling – a place that feels less like a pit stop and more like a temporary home base where you can recharge between exploring.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Vilnius at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near historic attractions.

Very good location.
Cosy and clean apartment.Sonja from Ireland (9/10)
Well equipped apartment right next to the university in an old town alley. Very quiet at night, even though the house is just meters away from restaurants, bars and cafés. The location is exceptional and the apartment is bright and spacious. Even though it was sunny and quite hot in Vilnius, the apartment stayed comfortably cool. Unfortunately I didn't make much use of the balcony. Good Wi-Fi, supermarket nearby, bus and train station in walkable distance. Altogether a great place to stay.

The apartment is very centrally located, though very quiet and peaceful when sleeping. At close walking distance to everything Vilnius has to offer. The apartment has a very nice and cozy vibe of an old building. It is well equipped, clean and communicating with the host went very well. It is much recommended.
Anna from Estonia (9/10)
The apartment is right in the heart of old Vilnius, so just walking there from the train station made my day. 🙂 I was visiting for a conference and everyone stayed at a modern soulless hotel, but I felt so lucky to be able to stay in an old house with an old courtyard, and so in the middle of the historical city.

Super comfortable, spacious, well equipped, and a perfect location. The host was very friendly.
Aleksandr from Latvia (10/10)
This is a very beautiful, unusual, cozy and clean mesonet. Located in the very center of the city. You can hear the ringing of the bell tower from the Cathedral Square. Beware if you do not like the stairs. For me that was fine. Thank you for your hospitality

Volha from Germany (10/10)
The apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town, but on a very quiet street. It is small but very cosy. We had more than enough towels, what is very rare to have. The hosts were very helpful. Thank you!

I couldn’t recommend it enough. The apartment is amazing, behind the Gediminas Tower. It’s very cozy and clean.
The owner was kind and helped us with an issue.Rita from United States (10/10)
This apartment has everything for a short and long stay… location cannot be more perfect…The only thing you need to keep in your mind is – this is 3 level condo, so you need to be able to clime stairs.
