I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Cozy Vilnius Stay on Raugyklos street, I almost walked right past it. The entrance is tucked into this beautiful old building that looks like it’s been standing in Vilnius Old Town for centuries, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Cathedral Square, but somehow you feel like you’ve discovered this quiet corner that most tourists miss completely.

The thing about this place is that it actually lives up to its name – it really is cozy, but not in that cramped European hotel way that makes you feel claustrophobic. I mean, the rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these lovely wooden floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a historic building. The windows are proper double-paned (thank goodness, because Raugyklos can get a bit busy during the day), and if you’re lucky enough to get a room facing the courtyard, you’ll wake up to the most peaceful mornings. The street-facing rooms? Well, they’re fine too, just expect to hear some early morning deliveries – it’s Old Town life, you know?

What really impressed me was how the owners seem to get what travelers actually need. There’s proper Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the shower has decent water pressure (not always a given in these old buildings), and they’ve managed to squeeze in little kitchenettes that are actually functional. I made coffee there every morning and honestly preferred it to trekking out to find a café before I was properly awake. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hovering around wondering if anyone’s actually working there. And here’s something I really appreciated: they give you actual local recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots. The woman at reception pointed me toward this tiny bakery on Pilies street that I never would have found otherwise.

You know what struck me most about staying here? It’s positioned perfectly for exploring Old Town without feeling like you’re trapped in the tourist bubble. You can walk to Gediminas Tower in about eight minutes, duck into the Cathedral in five, but when you want to escape the crowds, you just head back to this quiet stretch of Raugyklos street where locals are walking their dogs and going about their daily business. Plus, if you’re driving – and I don’t really recommend it in Old Town – there’s actually parking nearby, though you’ll want to ask them about it when you book because spaces fill up fast, especially during summer months. The 9.7 rating this place has? I get it. It’s not trying to be fancy or impressive, it’s just doing everything right in a way that makes you want to come back to Vilnius just to stay here again.

Hotel in Vilnius booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally celebrated cultural and music events.

  Прекрасные апартаменты, нам очень понравилось здесь жить. Расположение идеальное, пешком быстро можно дойти и до вокзала и до старого города. Комфортное, бесконтактное заселение. Стильный и уютный ремонт, чистота, есть абсолютно всё необходимое для проживания и даже больше. Можно сказать, что апартаменты превзошли наши ожидания.
  
  What could be improved: Абсолютно всё было хорошо. При уборке вероятно забыли выкинуть начатые бутылки с водой от предыдущих жильцов, но это не повлияло на наши впечатления, мы остались очень довольны апартаментами.
