This little studio sits perfectly positioned where you can actually walk to Pilies Street’s cafes in about three minutes, which is pretty much gold if you’re the type who wants to grab morning coffee without dealing with any commute nonsense.

The space itself is exactly what it promises – cozy, but not cramped-cozy if you know what I mean. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they’d used every corner, and the big windows actually let in way more light than I expected for an Old Town place (some of those medieval buildings can feel like caves, let’s be honest). The kitchen setup is compact but functional – I mean, you’re not going to be hosting dinner parties, but making breakfast or heating up some of those amazing cepelinai from Lokys restaurant down the street? Totally doable. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling cobblestones all night, which has definitely happened to me in other Old Town accommodations.

What really sells this place, though, is the location combined with that surprisingly high rating – and after staying there, I get it. You’re literally surrounded by history but without feeling trapped in a tourist bubble. I could walk to Užupis (that quirky artist republic area) in maybe fifteen minutes, or head down to the Gates of Dawn when the crowds thinned out in the evening. The building itself has that solid, old-world feel – thick walls that actually keep street noise to a minimum, which is clutch because Pilies can get pretty lively, especially on weekends. Check-in was straightforward, no drama, and the host actually gave me some solid recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. Fair warning though – parking in this area is basically a fantasy, so plan on using the lots outside the Old Town if you’re driving. But honestly, once you’re settled in here, everything you want to see is within walking distance anyway, so who needs a car? For a three-star place, it punches above its weight in terms of comfort and location – I’d definitely book it again, especially if I wanted to feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.
