So I stumbled upon Cozy stay Vilnius during a spring trip to Lithuania, and honestly? The name pretty much delivers on its promise. It’s tucked away on Šv. Stepono gatvė in the heart of the Old Town, which means you’re literally walking on cobblestones that are older than most countries. The building itself has that worn-in charm you get with these converted historic properties – you know, creaky floors that tell stories and walls that have seen a few centuries pass by.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel genuinely local without trying too hard. The rooms are simple but thoughtfully put together, and I mean that in the best way. No fancy marble countertops or over-the-top amenities, just clean lines and everything you actually need. The staff – well, they’re the kind of people who’ll give you directions to that little bakery around the corner that doesn’t have a sign but makes the best rye bread in the city. You can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing from here, which is huge because Old Town Vilnius can be a maze if you’re not careful. Cathedral Square is maybe a five-minute stroll, and you’re close enough to hear the church bells without them waking you up at dawn.

I’ll be straight with you though – this isn’t a luxury experience, and the 7.2 rating reflects that reality. Some rooms face the street and you’ll hear a bit of foot traffic during busy summer evenings, but honestly, that’s part of the Old Town charm. The walls are thick enough that you won’t hear your neighbors, which is more than I can say for a lot of places in this price range. What impressed me most was how the place captures that specific feeling of staying somewhere that locals might actually live – not some sterile hotel bubble. The breakfast is simple but good (proper Lithuanian dark bread, decent coffee), and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t oversell itself. If you’re the type who wants to spend your days wandering medieval streets and your evenings in cozy wine bars rather than lounging by a pool, this spot gets it right. Plus, being right in the thick of things means you can stumble back after trying too much Lithuanian beer without worrying about finding a taxi.

  Good location. Shops, restaurants and stations all nearby. Old town on a distance of nice walk. All necessary amenities met.
  
  What could be improved: Bedroom could use some more ventilation on hot and moist weather conditions. Maybe add a little fan in the room.

  We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Everything was great – clean, cozy, and well-located. The old town was within walking distance, and the area around the apartment was quiet and peaceful. All the main sights and transport were easily accessible. We really enjoyed our time here!

  Location is central we walked everywhere. Train and bus station are 5 mins walk. Good shower comfortable bed and sofa. Good to have free parking at the back of the property.

  What could be improved: Wejście do budynku było w dramatycznym stanie, opadający tynk ze ścian, schody były ukruszone że względu na swoje bezpieczeństwo i osób z którymi podróżuje nie miałam zamiaru mieszkać w takich warunkach i ryzykować życia i zdrowia podczas tego pobytu. Wchodzenie i wychodzenie z budynku odbywało by się wielokrotnie, a do tego również z ciężkimi bagażami, co podczas upadku mogło by być dramatyczne w skutkach. Nie chcąc narażać się na dodatkowe komplikacje i problemy podczas wyjazdu postanowiłem zrezygnować z tego obiektu. Wszystko zostało niezwłocznie zgłoszone do booking, niestety do dnia dzisiejszego właściciel nie chce mi zwrócić pieniędzy, nawet w tak oczywistej sprawie jak fakt ukrycia dramatycznego stanu budynku. Po wielu telefonach i wysyłaniu korespondenci (bez odpowiedzi) do booking zaproponowano mi zwrot 1/6 kosztów na portfel booking, czyli nie na konto. Czuje się podwójnie oszukany i zdecydowanie nie polecam!
