But Cozy apartment in heart of old town turned out to be exactly what I needed, tucked away where the tourist crowds thin out just enough to feel like you’re discovering something real.

The thing about staying right here is that you’re literally surrounded by centuries of history, but not in that sterile museum way. I mean, you can hear the church bells from multiple directions (honestly, kind of magical at sunset, though maybe less so at 6 AM if you’re a light sleeper), and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use – not just another tourist trap. The apartment itself feels genuinely lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, which I actually prefer. You know what struck me most? The windows. They’re these old-style frames that let in amazing morning light, and you can watch people heading to work along the narrow street below. The space isn’t huge – it’s called cozy for a reason – but everything you need is there, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Vilnius, you just want somewhere comfortable to crash.

What really works about this location is how walkable everything becomes. You’re maybe five minutes from Cathedral Square on foot, but far enough from Pilies Street that you’re not dealing with constant foot traffic outside your door. I found myself using Žemaitijos as a sort of base camp – grab coffee in the morning, wander through the old town’s winding streets, then come back to regroup before dinner. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s not luxury by any means, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. Check-in was straightforward (though you might want to confirm arrival times ahead of time), and the building’s entrance is easy to miss if you’re not paying attention – look for the number 7-9, it’s sort of tucked between other doorways. One small heads up: if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, just know there are some stairs involved, but nothing too brutal. The whole experience feels like borrowing a friend’s place rather than staying in typical tourist accommodation, which is either perfect for you or not, depending on what you’re after.

  What could be improved: Only a couch for sleeping, no bed.
  It wasn't possible to unfold the couch, so not much space.
  The couch was very hard.
  Linen was placed on the couch. Help yourself find the pillow and cover (in the end I found them on a shelf) and prepare the bed.
  No way to darken the couch room, there is full light in the morning (blinders needed).
  In the night you need a torch light to actually find your way in the pitch dark courtyard.

  Labai patogi vieta, itin tvarkingas, dar naujumu kvepiantis butukas, kuriame buvo viskas, ko reikia, nuo rankšluosčių ir higienos priemonių iki itin greito wifi ir smart TV. Virtuvė taip pat super tvarkinga su viskuo, ko tik gali reikėti 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Vienintelis minusas – sunkiai atsidarančios durys. Bet saugumo aspektu net ir pamiršus naktį užsirakinti gali miegoti ramiai 😁

  Все понравилось, отличное жилье в самом центре Вильнюса. Чистое и просторное. Заселение бесконтактное- 👍
  Единственный минус, что если бы не фото в описании жилья, то искали бы долго, потому что навигатор приводит не в ту точку.

  Labai maloni savininkė:) viskas puikiai paaiškinta kaip patekti. Puiki vieta. Labai patiko,jog dabar,kol šaltas oras,yra elektrinis šildytuvas,tad apartamentuose galima nusistatyti šilumą pagal poreikį:) erdvūs apartamentai, patogi lova,spintoje daug vietos. Virtuvėje yra visko ko reikia, pasirūpinta tiek kava,tiek arbata. Viskas švaru,kvepia,labai rekomenduoju ir būtinai grįšiu:)
