Čiurlionio street in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. I mean, you’re still in Naujamiestis – which honestly is where you want to be if you’re not staying right in Old Town – but this particular stretch feels more like where actual Vilnius residents live their daily lives.

The apartment itself is one of those places that gets the basics so right you don’t realize how rare that is until you’re there. The two bedrooms are actually two bedrooms, not some creative interpretation involving a pull-out couch (I’ve been burned by that before). The morning light comes in beautifully through those typical Lithuanian windows – you know, the kind that open inward and always make you feel slightly accomplished when you figure out the handle mechanism. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re not isolated from the city. Sure, you’ll hear some street sounds during the day, but nothing that kept me up at night, and honestly, those sounds kind of remind you that you’re in a real neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district.

The location is actually brilliant if you think about it – you can walk to the Neris River in about ten minutes when you need that dose of nature, but you’re also close enough to Gedimino Avenue that grabbing dinner or drinks doesn’t require planning an expedition. There’s this little bakery maybe two blocks away that I stumbled across on my second morning, and I ended up going there every day for coffee and those amazing Lithuanian pastries with poppy seeds. The apartment building itself has that solid, unpretentious feel that a lot of Soviet-era construction has – thick walls, reliable heating, and a certain no-nonsense functionality that I’ve come to appreciate. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will tell you is not something to take for granted. I think what sets this place apart is that it doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is – a comfortable, well-maintained apartment in a neighborhood that gives you a genuine feel for how Vilnius actually works, rather than just its postcard version.

  Labai švaru, gražus interjeras, šeimininkai nerealūs. Aukštos lubos bute. Visko yra, tiek dušo priemonių, tiek virtuvėje visko užtenka. Lokacija puiki.
