The location on Stikliu street is actually pretty brilliant if you know Vilnius at all. You’re right in the heart of the Old Town, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that can make some of the main drag hotels feel like train stations. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral Square in maybe five minutes, but when you’re coming back at night, it feels like you’re escaping into this quieter pocket where locals actually live. The building itself has that solid, unpretentious vibe – it’s a 3-star place that doesn’t try to pretend it’s something fancier, which I actually appreciate. The entrance is straightforward, no marble lobbies or anything flashy, just clean and welcoming with staff who seem genuinely happy to help rather than going through the motions.

What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Old Town Vilnius, after all – but they’re designed by someone who clearly travels themselves. Good lighting where you need it (finally, a place where you can actually read in bed), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and windows that actually block out sound when you close them properly. I stayed there during one of those busy summer weekends when the cobblestone streets can get pretty lively, but honestly slept better than I expected. The shower pressure was solid too, which sounds trivial until you’ve spent three days under a dribble somewhere else. Small thing that made a difference – they had these thick towels that actually dried you off instead of those thin hotel linens that just move water around.

The whole experience felt refreshingly honest, if that makes sense. No one tried to oversell me on breakfast packages or tours I didn’t want, but when I asked about good spots for dinner that weren’t tourist traps, the front desk guy gave me directions to this tiny Lithuanian place two blocks over that ended up being the best meal of my trip. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t fake. The 9-out-of-10 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re exploring a city. You leave feeling rested, your stuff was safe, and you didn’t spend half your travel budget on a room you barely used except to sleep. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
