City Center Appartment Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw City Center Appartment tucked away on Šv. Stepono street, I almost walked right past it. The entrance is pretty understated, which honestly turned out to be a good thing because you’re not dealing with tourist crowds constantly hanging around outside. But once you’re inside, you get why this place has such a crazy high rating (seriously, 9.7 is almost unheard of for a 3-star spot). The apartments themselves are way more spacious than what you’d expect in Vilnius Old Town – I mean, you’re literally steps from the cathedral, but you’ve got room to actually spread out your stuff and not feel like you’re living out of a suitcase.

What really gets me about this place is how quiet it is, even though you’re right in the thick of everything. Šv. Stepono is one of those cobblestone streets that feels authentically medieval without being touristy-fake, you know? In the mornings, you’ll hear the church bells from nearby St. Casimir’s, but it’s actually pretty soothing rather than annoying. The apartments are well-insulated too – I stayed there during one of those summer weekends when the old town gets pretty lively, and I could barely hear anything from inside. Actually, the whole building feels solid in that old European way, with thick walls and proper wooden floors that don’t creak when you walk around at night.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Vilnius like someone who actually lives there. You can walk to Gediminas Avenue in about three minutes, but you’re also close to some of the smaller streets where locals actually eat and shop. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Pilies street that opens ridiculously early, and you’ll see the same faces there every morning grabbing coffee before work. The apartment setup means you can cook your own meals too, which is clutch when you want a break from restaurant food – plus there’s a small grocery store practically next door. I actually loved being able to pick up some local cheese and bread and just eat breakfast looking out at the old town rooftops. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel reception stuff, just practical information about the keys and wifi. Fair warning though – like most old town buildings, there’s no elevator, so if you’re on the third floor with heavy luggage, well, consider it your daily workout sorted.

Hotels near me in Vilnius offer convenient access to the historic center, where guests can easily walk to Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Castle, and the famous Gate of Dawn.

Reviews of City Center Appartment

  • Exceptional – Basava from United States – August 20, 2025 (10/10)

The apartment is incredible! One of the nicest and cleanest apartment we''ve ever rent, very cosy and nicely decorated! Very good location! quiet but close to everything – historical old town, market, railway and bus stations, airport. Highly recommend to everyone, definitely will rent again. Great communication with the host!

  • exceptional to stay in Vilnius with comfort – Andrey from Belarus – August 10, 2025 (10/10)

    The apartment is exceptional.
It is located close to the central bus station / railway station (just 7 min walking distance). The Iki supermarket is 5 min away in the opposite direction.
The aparment is equipped with ablolutely everything you need to stay 1-2 nights in Vilnius with exceptional comfort and calmness. Though the building is not modern, the apartment itself was recently renovated, so everything is new and very well done. The layout, furniture, and appliances are all thoughtfully arranged and cozy, which enhances your comfort and helps you relax.

The host, Jurgita, was very helpful and we had no difficulties with either check-in or check-out.

    What could be improved: nothing

  • Exceptional – Olesia from Norway – July 20, 2025 (10/10)

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. All one may need for a good stay not far from the very center of the city.
20-25 minutes bus drive from the airport.
Clean apartment and very friendly hosts👍
Well equipped kitchen was highly appreciated.

  • Excellent value and excellent support from the owner made Vilnius our favourite stop among the Baltics. – Richard from Canada – July 13, 2025 (10/10)

Location is a 5 min walk walk from the coach station if coming by bus and a short 9-10 min uber drive from the airport. Apartment is a very modern and updated unit in an otherwise older and dated series of walk up apartments. Aircon and washing machine worked very well, and the kitchen is well equipped should you decide to cook. There is an express outlet of a supermarket chain across the street and a full size supermarket 6-7 min walk away. You are on the edge of Old Town and all major sites are within a pleasant 10-15 min walk with excellent restaurants in the same area. Bed is very comfortable and area very quiet and safe at night (and day is all of Vilnius). Owner responded very fast to all inquiries and very flexible allowing us to stay beyond the check out time as no visitor coming in that day until evening. This gave us the whole morning to explore again.

What could be improved: The unit is on the top floor of a four story walk up without a lift so that is the only challenge if you have large suitcases.

  • High style, super comfort, peaceful and quiet – Nicholas from Canada – July 4, 2025 (10/10)

Super stylish apartment, beautifully furnished, in a convenient location to explore Vilnius. Well equipped and very quiet and comfortable.

  • 3rd time there – constantly impeccable quality – Sergey from Belarus – July 1, 2025 (10/10)

    Everything

What could be improved: Minor smell in the bathroom – nothing critical

  • Surprisingly quiet, high quality appartment – Frank from Switzerland – June 21, 2025 (10/10)

The appartment is beautiful, spacy and fully equipped. Everything in the appartment looks new and is of high quality, including the bed and the kitchen. The most astonishing thing about the appartment is that it is very quiet despite all the traffic nearby. Once I had figured out how the bus system works, I appreciated the nearby busstop a lot. It is well frequented, so I didn't even have to walk the 10 minutes into town if I didn't want to. There is a supermarket next to the busstop.

What could be improved: The appartment block's staircase.

  • Exceptional – Daria from Belgium – May 13, 2025 (10/10)

We had a great stay — the apartment was spotless, very cozy, and felt like home. The space was well-equipped and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. Highly recommend!

  • Exceptional – Inesa from Latvia – April 20, 2025 (10/10)

Apartments was sunny and bright , everything was so clean and nice, so happy to stay there and definitely recommend for everyone.

  • Great place close to the main station – Sergey from Belarus – January 8, 2025 (10/10)

    – Brand new stylish apartment very close to the bus/train station.

What could be improved: Nothing major, a few minor things to consider:
    – The apartment is on the 4th floor (attic), no elevator, beware if you have heavy luggage.
    – While most of the equipment is brand new, some elements are not new and not comfortable, specifically the TV and the shower hose.
    – Was not that easy to find the parking, only a call to the owner helped – instructions could have been more precise (ideally with a picture).
