You know what really caught me off guard about Cinema Loft – Self Check in? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re inside – there’s this whole cinematic vibe going on that I wasn’t expecting from the street view on Kauno gatve. I mean, from the outside it’s just another renovated building in Naujamiestis, but step inside and you’ll see what they were going for with the theming.

The self check-in thing works better than you’d think, honestly. I was a bit skeptical at first (you know how these automated systems can be), but the instructions they sent were actually clear, and there’s a phone number that someone actually answers if you get stuck. The loft itself sits on the second floor of this corner building, and while it’s not huge, the layout feels surprisingly open – those high ceilings really help. The decor leans heavily into the movie theme without being cheesy about it, which I appreciated. There are vintage film posters and some clever lighting that gives the whole space this warm, slightly dramatic feel. The kitchen area is compact but has everything you’d actually use, and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night.

Location-wise, you’re right in the heart of Naujamiestis, which honestly is one of my favorite parts of Vilnius to stay in. It’s got that lived-in neighborhood feel without being too far from the old town – maybe a 15-minute walk to Cathedral Square if you don’t mind the stroll. There’s a decent grocery store just a couple blocks down Kauno street, and I stumbled across this little café around the corner that does proper Lithuanian breakfast if you get tired of making coffee in the room. The area can get a bit lively on weekend nights since there are some bars nearby, but it wasn’t anything crazy – more like the sound of people having a good time rather than chaos. Parking took me a minute to figure out (street parking with those app-based meters), but once you get the hang of it, it’s not bad. For a 3-star place, the Cinema Loft delivers on creating an experience rather than just giving you a bed for the night, and at this price point in Vilnius, that’s actually pretty refreshing.
