Chic & Cozy in the Heart of Vilnius Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Chic & Cozy in the Heart of Vilnius, I rolled my eyes a little. You know how these Airbnb-style places can oversell themselves? But walking up to Gedimino Prospektas 54 and climbing to that fourth-floor apartment, I actually started to get it. The building’s got this classic Lithuanian charm – solid, no-nonsense architecture that feels properly European without being touristy about it.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Vilnius rather than just visiting. Gedimino is basically the main artery through the city, which sounds intimidating but actually means you’re a five-minute walk from everything that matters. I mean, you can literally see the Parliament building from some of the windows, and Old Town is right there when you head downhill. What I really loved though – and this is something you only notice when you’re staying somewhere, not just passing through – is how the morning light hits that fourth floor. The apartment faces the right direction to catch the sunrise without getting blasted by afternoon heat, which made those early coffee moments pretty special.

The space itself lives up to the “chic and cozy” promise, though I’d lean more toward cozy. It’s clearly been decorated by someone who actually cares about design – not just thrown together with whatever was cheapest on Amazon. The furniture feels substantial, the kind of stuff that’ll still look good in five years. There’s this really nice balance between having enough personality to feel homey and being neutral enough that you can settle in comfortably. Honestly, after a few days I sort of forgot I wasn’t in my own place, which is exactly what you want from accommodation like this.

Practical stuff that actually matters: the building’s pretty quiet despite being on such a busy street – those old Soviet-era walls are thick as anything. Check-in was straightforward, no weird key-handoff drama or confusing instructions. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the IKI down the street (which, by the way, is way better than the tourist-trap places closer to Cathedral Square). Parking can be a bit of a dance on Gedimino itself, but there are side streets where you can usually find something if you’re driving.

What really sold me on this place was realizing I was staying in Naujamiestis – the “New Town” that’s actually over a century old but feels like where actual Vilnius residents live and work. You’re not in some sanitized tourist bubble, but you’re also not roughing it in some sketchy neighborhood. It’s that sweet spot where you can walk to dinner at a proper Lithuanian restaurant where the menu isn’t translated into six languages, then stroll home past the shops and cafes that locals actually use. For a three-star place with a 9 rating, it absolutely delivers on both comfort and authenticity – which is honestly harder to find than you’d think.

Reviews of Chic & Cozy in the Heart of Vilnius

  • Exceptional – Anna from Latvia – June 10, 2025 (10/10)

I had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The location couldn't be better – right in the heart of the city, moreover the apartment itself was stunning – stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable.

But what truly made the experience exceptional, though, were the hosts, that are always ready to help in every inconvenience no matter what.

  • Wonderful – Indrė from Lithuania – June 18, 2025 (9/10)

Everything was great – the place was perfect. It was a bit inconvenient that it was on the 4th floor with no elevator, but we were aware of that beforehand. The host was very friendly and communicative, and even let us back in after we had checked out to pick up something we accidentally left behind. The apartment had everything we needed – toiletries, fresh towels, and even new toothbrushes were provided

What could be improved: The only small downside was that there were not enough kitchen items – just one glass for wine and two cups, and we were missing a few basic utensils.

  • We stayed for 1.5 days and everything was great, no issues at all. The host is amazing and helpful. – Anonymous from Latvia – June 27, 2025 (10/10)

The place was clean, the location is great and the area is fantastic.

  • Fantastyczny pobyt w Wilnie – Adam from Poland – July 27, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Пошкоджена кришка унітаза, не та кофе машина як на фото, заселення пізніше ніж обіцяно, не має заʼязку з господарем, посуду нема- тільки на 2 особи

  • Really clean and cozy place. Enjoyed our stay had eveything needed. Lovely host. – Indre from Ireland – July 3, 2025 (10/10)
