Charming apartment next to the Church of St Anne by Reside Baltic Overview

You know what struck me first about the Charming apartment next to the Church of St Anne by Reside Baltic? It’s literally right there on Bernardinų Street – I mean, you step outside and boom, you’re staring at one of Vilnius’s most gorgeous Gothic churches. Honestly, I’ve stayed in plenty of Old Town spots, but this location is something else. The church bells actually become sort of comforting after the first morning (though fair warning if you’re a super light sleeper).

The apartment itself feels authentically local rather than touristy – there’s character in the old building details, thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet despite being smack in the heart of everything. What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly know their stuff about hosting. Check-in was smooth, and they’d left these little notes about the neighborhood that actually proved useful. The space has that lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re borrowing a friend’s place rather than crashing in some sterile hotel room. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters when you want to grab fresh bread from the bakeries around the corner and have a real breakfast.

Here’s the thing about staying right here – you’re maybe a three-minute walk from Pilies Street where all the tourist action happens, but you’re tucked away enough that you get to see how locals actually move through the Old Town. I’d watch people heading to work in the morning, cutting through these medieval streets like it’s totally normal (which I guess it is for them). The whole Užupis district is right across the river if you want to get artsy, and honestly, some of my favorite Vilnius moments happened just wandering these cobblestone streets at dusk when the crowds thin out. Parking’s tricky in this area – well, it’s tricky everywhere in Old Town – but they give you solid advice about where to leave your car if you’re driving. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not fancy-hotel perfect, but it’s got that authentic charm that actually makes your trip more memorable than some polished chain would.

Vilnius hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Lithuania’s cultural capital, known for its stunning baroque architecture and rich historical heritage.

Reviews of Charming apartment next to the Church of St Anne by Reside Baltic

  • Great stay in the heart of Vilnius – Ali from Bahrain – August 20, 2025 (9/10)

Ideal location in the heart of Vilnius Old Town – short walking distance to major sightseeing and attractions of the city.
Value for money- provides a competitive and reasonable price point so makes it highly sought aftar option.
Comfort- the apartment is well kept, maintained and has got all the necessary amenities to make the experience feel like a home.
    Highly recommend.

What could be improved: 1. Flexibility on check-in timing: early check in before 15:00 was not available (free of charge) and we had to wait a few hours with our luggages in the Old Town before we were able to check in to the apartment. It would be good option to provide a secure storage area for guests to keep their luggages in case early check in is not possible.
    2. Washroom has a slight bad odor and probably needs to be looked at. The floor was not clean when we arrived and the washbasin was taking time to drain.

  • Excellent place – Anonymous from United Kingdom – August 1, 2025 (9/10)

The appartement is very modern and well furnished despite the building's age, ideal for a single or two persons. It is clean. It has to be appreciated that due to the building's status (historic) some imperfections can be expected, which is absolutelly normal (despite some of the other comments). The location is ideal, in the heart of the old town, many restaurants and cafes nearby, close to some city's key atractions.

What could be improved: Please read provided instructions carefully how to find the entrance door, it can be tricky to spot the door sraight away.

  • Disappointing stay despite great location – Volha from United Kingdom – June 10, 2025 (7/10)

Central location just next to the Cathedral square and Vilnius Bell Tower

What could be improved: Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location

The apartment’s location is its strongest asset – right next to Cathedral Square, the Vilnius Bell Tower, and Pilies Street, surrounded by charming cafes and restaurants. Inside, the flat is modern and nicely furnished, creating a good first impression.

However, the experience quickly went downhill. The entrance to the building is unwelcoming and even spooky at night due to the old structure. Check-in instructions were unclear, lacking crucial details like the apartment number – with four identical brown doors on the ground floor, it was pure guesswork.

Cleanliness was a major issue. The bathroom had dry spider remains, insect nets were hanging from the ceiling, and everything felt dusty. Basic amenities like bottled water, shower gel, or shampoo were missing. The sofa was stained and unpleasant to use.

Communication with the host was frustrating – I received repetitive, irrelevant check-in messages every other day. After booking, I was asked to pay an additional €100 deposit (on top of a cleaning fee), and was informed upon checkout that it would only be refunded after seven days – an unusual and inconvenient policy.

Overall, this stay did not offer good value for money. With so many better options available in Vilnius, I wouldn’t recommend this apartment.

  • Good choice, feels like home, except small details – perfect place to stay! – Olga from Lithuania – May 18, 2025 (8/10)

Felt like home. Great location, quiet, beautiful surroundings, well-equipped, comfortable bed, good lighting and what very seldom in airbnb – great black out curtains!

What could be improved: Could be nice to provide sponge and washing liquid for dishes, paper towel and more garbage bags than just one 🙂 I bought everything and left for the next guests. Also the heating in the bathroom was not working properly, and there was a bad smell in the appartment, had to air out constantly.

  • Lovely apartment – Beth from Germany – May 3, 2025 (10/10)

Cosy apartment in a great location, was able to do all of the sightseeing by foot.

  • Very Good – Gabija from Lithuania – August 12, 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Kvapas bute, neveikė kaitlentė

  • Exceptional – Gerda from Netherlands – May 28, 2024 (10/10)

Amazing location in Vilnius old town. Nice restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores close by. Apartment was very well equipped, spotlessly clean. Great hosts. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again.
