Central Apartment in Vilnius Overview

Honestly, when I first pulled up to Central Apartment in Vilnius on Lvivo Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the Snipiskes neighborhood – it’s one of those areas that feels a bit removed from the Old Town chaos, but in a good way. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of the city, nothing fancy from the outside, but you know what? Sometimes those are the places that surprise you the most.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful at the same time. You’re actually just a quick walk from the river, and I mean really quick – maybe five minutes if you’re strolling. The Neris runs right through this part of town, and there’s something nice about having that green space so close when you need to escape the apartment for a bit. The area around Lvivo Street has this lived-in feel that I really appreciate; you’ve got local shops where the owners actually recognize faces, and the morning coffee crowd at the nearby cafés tends to be more locals heading to work than tourists clutching guidebooks. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (as it is everywhere in Vilnius, let’s be honest), but the neighborhood streets usually have spots if you’re willing to walk a block or two.

The apartment itself delivers on what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for your entire stay. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it stays, even though you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere. The windows face away from the main street traffic, which makes a real difference when you’re trying to sleep in on a Saturday morning. What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchen setup; I’m not talking about some sad mini-fridge situation, but actual counter space and appliances that work. It’s perfect for those moments when you want to grab some fresh bread and cheese from the local market instead of eating out for every single meal – your wallet will thank you, and honestly, the local produce in Vilnius is pretty fantastic. The whole experience just feels more authentic than staying in some sterile hotel chain, you know? You get a real sense of what it might be like to actually live in this part of the city for a while, rather than just passing through as a tourist.

Exploring Vilnius offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Lithuania’s cultural heart, from its UNESCO-listed baroque old town to its vibrant contemporary arts scene and beautiful Baltic atmosphere.

Reviews of Central Apartment in Vilnius

  • it was fine. I can recommend — it’s a decent place to stay, but don’t expect anything fancy – Gundega from Estonia – June 10, 2025 (8/10)

The apartment is actually very nice, but it could be better maintained.
    Overall, the stay was okay.

Tip: Bring your own pillow — it will make your stay much more comfortable.

The design is nice, and the layout is well thought out. Located on an upper floor, it was generally quiet until the neighbors started arguing with each other.

It's about a 20–25 minute walk to the city center across the Baltais Tiltas.

What could be improved: It is obviously used — some things are a bit broken.

The towel heater seems to be only for decoration — I couldn’t connect it to an electrical outlet.

The main door of the apartment is not working properly; only one of the two locks was usable. The upper lock does not engage when the door is closed.

The curtains shown in the pictures to separate the living area from the bed were not present.

The bedding — pillows and blanket — were clearly synthetic. Apartment owners often do not invest in the things that actually matter most, such as quality bedding.

The host was a bit strange — they asked for a tourist tax payment of 2 EUR per night but initially refused to provide any proof of payment. Later they said they would provide it only after checkout. According to Lithuanian law, I am not obliged to pay unless proof of payment is provided in advance or at the time of payment.

  • Extremely dirty apartment and false accusations – Gryte from Lithuania – July 22, 2025 (1/10)

What could be improved: I strongly do not recommend this property.

When we arrived, the apartment was dirty — the floors had not been cleaned, there was rotting food left inside the oven, expired canned food in the fridge, and a broken glass item already on site. The place clearly had not been properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival, and it felt like someone had stayed there before us.

After our stay, the host falsely accused us of breaking the glass that was already damaged when we checked in. We are now being harassed and unfairly blamed for something we did not do.

This experience was extremely unpleasant and stressful. I’m very disappointed that such properties are allowed on Booking.com. Be very careful if you are considering staying here.

  • Wonderful – Anonymous from Germany – July 29, 2025 (9/10)

    all good

  • patenkinamai – Aleksandr from Lithuania – June 14, 2025 (6/10)

    tvarka

What could be improved: suluzusi balkono duru rankena, televizoriaus pulteliai neveikia, pagrindiniu duru spyna sunkiai veikia ir t.t.
