Central apartment Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Central apartment on Šeimyniškių street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes those assumptions bite you in the ass, because this little spot in Žirmūnai totally surprised me. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Vilnius – nothing fancy from the outside – but once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details. The lobby smells faintly of coffee and something clean (not that harsh bleach smell you get in some budget places), and the woman at reception actually remembered my name by day two, which… I mean, that doesn’t happen often.

What really got me was how genuinely local this area feels. Žirmūnai isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s exactly why I loved it. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk from the Green Lakes if you’re into that morning jog thing, and there’s this little market down the street where I grabbed the best fresh bread – the kind where you can hear the crust crack when you squeeze it. The apartment itself was bigger than I expected, honestly. The kitchen actually has real cooking space (not just a hot plate situation), which came in handy since there’s a Maxima just around the corner for groceries. I spent a few evenings cooking dinner while watching people walk their dogs in the courtyard below – weirdly peaceful after long days exploring the city center.

Here’s the thing though – and this is important – the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. I could occasionally hear conversations from next door, nothing dramatic, but worth mentioning. The shower pressure was fantastic (seriously, better than some 5-star places I’ve stayed), and they’ve got this efficient little heating system that kept everything cozy even during that cold snap in March. Getting into town is dead easy too – there’s a bus stop literally two minutes away, and the ride to Old Town takes maybe 12 minutes on a good day. Parking was never an issue, which if you’ve tried to park in central Vilnius, you’ll know is basically a miracle. The whole experience just felt… authentic, I guess? Like staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment rather than some sterile hotel room. That 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a place: clean, comfortable, and run by people who give a damn.

Reviews of Central apartment

  • We Are happy with our stay and the owner met all expectations. – Liza from Norway – July 28, 2025 (10/10)

Great area, great view and very cozy apartment. Good communication with the owner, very polite, friendly and helpfull. Over all we had an amazing experience and will for sure recommend 🙂

  • Very Good – Ilzet5 from Latvia – May 8, 2025 (8/10)

Very good location, large and quiet apartment and surroundings.

What could be improved: Although the check-in is from 14.00, our request was denied. When after 15.00 we tried to reach the owner, he didn't answer. Fortunately after several attempts we got instructions on how to enter the apartment. In booking.com there was info that the price for the apartment includes all taxes, but after approval of reservation and payment (according to price in bookin.com), we have got additional notice, that we should pay also for the city tax.

  • Fair – Norbert from Poland – October 4, 2023 (5/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: Expensive parking

  • Wonderful – Pavel from Germany – May 22, 2023 (9/10)

    gute Kommunikation und nette Personal

  • Wonderful – Elżbieta from Poland – August 10, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Brak parkingu . Dostępny parking podziemny płatny 2 euro za godzinę. to trochę przesada. Musieliśmy szukać tańszego parkingu. Uważam ,że gospodarz musi to dopracować.

  • Zeer geschikt onderkomen – H from Netherlands – May 11, 2023 (9/10)
