When I first walked up to Center Avenue Apartments, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. It sounds pretty generic, right? But you know what, sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up being the most reliable, and that’s definitely the case here.

The thing about this place is that it’s got that comfortable, lived-in feeling that a lot of traditional hotels just can’t match. I mean, you’re basically staying in an actual apartment, which means you’ve got real kitchen space (not just a sad little coffee maker), proper closets, and – this was huge for me – enough room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. The 3-star rating might not sound glamorous, but honestly, it delivers exactly what you need without any pretense. The furnishings are pretty standard – think IKEA meets practical hotel design – but everything works, the beds are actually comfortable, and the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I’ve stayed.

What really won me over was how quiet it stays, even during busier times. I stayed there during what I later found out was a pretty hectic conference week in the area, and I could barely hear my neighbors. The walls must be decent, or maybe I just got lucky with considerate people next door – either way, I slept well. The staff runs a pretty tight ship too, though don’t expect them to be hovering around like at some fancy resort. Check-in was straightforward, they actually answered when I called the front desk (revolutionary concept, I know), and when my key card decided to stop working on day three, they sorted it out in like two minutes. The 7.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s solidly good without being anything that’ll blow your mind. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or turndown service, but you’re also not dealing with sketchy elevators or that weird musty smell that budget places sometimes have. It’s clean, functional, and honestly pretty decent value for what you get. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was in town for more than just a quick overnight – having that extra space and a real kitchen makes a bigger difference than you might think.

  Great central location, great communication with a host, super quiet courtyard so I slept like a baby. Everything you need in the apartment — kitchen, fridge, cutlery, iron and ironing board, washing machine, TV with online channels, king-size bed, heated floor in the bathroom.

  We have arrived a bit before our check in time and the host was gracious enough to let us check in earlier which was really nice of him. The apartment was nice and spacious, perfect location, everything was walking distance which was perfect to us as we love walking. The flat was easy to find and instructions were very clear how to pick up the keys. The apartment had everything we needed. The sofa's we slept on were surprisingly very comfortable.
