CATHEDRAL Old Town Suites Overview
You know what caught me off guard about CATHEDRAL Old Town Suites? I walked right past it twice on Tilto gatvė before realizing this unassuming entrance led to one of the most thoughtfully designed places I’ve stayed in Vilnius. The thing is, it sits so naturally among the cobblestone streets that it feels more like discovering a friend’s incredibly stylish apartment than checking into a hotel. There’s no flashy signage or marble lobby – just this quiet confidence that honestly makes way more sense once you’re inside.
The suites themselves are actually what boutique hotels should be but rarely are. I mean, someone clearly spent time thinking about how people actually live and move through spaces. The kitchen wasn’t just for show (I actually cooked breakfast there using ingredients from the Hales market, which is maybe a seven-minute walk), and the living areas felt generous without being wasteful. What really got me was the attention to local character – the design references Vilnius’s architectural heritage without getting all theme-park about it. My suite looked out toward the cathedral area, and honestly, waking up to those medieval rooftops never got old, even after four nights.
Here’s the practical stuff that matters: parking is tricky in Old Town (as expected), but they’ll sort you out with options nearby. The location is ridiculously walkable – you’re basically in the heart of everything but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling home from Pilies Street at 2 AM. I loved that I could walk to Gediminas Tower in maybe ten minutes, hit the best coffee spot (Coffee1) in five, and still feel like I was staying somewhere locals might actually choose. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you realize this isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in town – it’s just really, really good at being exactly what it is. If you’re the type who appreciates thoughtful design over gold-plated fixtures and wants to feel connected to the city rather than insulated from it, this place gets it right.

The location is excellent.
Communication with the staff was easy and friendly. Even if we did not see each other, everything worked very well. (I liked it this way)
The room was lovely and cosy with a view of the cathedral.
Although we stayed only for one night, i recommend it for more as well.

Nice hotel in a central location. Clean room. I received codes for the doors in booking.com messages and by sms. My plane was 3 hours late, but fortunately you check in yourself.
What could be improved: There was a gigantic spider on the ceiling. I had to climb up on the table to take care of it. The window was open, so it might have come from the outside.Wonderful – Migle from Latvia – August 4, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, self checkin, nice and spacious room.
What could be improved: There were construction works next door which were loud during the day.Exceptional – Siobhan from Ireland – August 4, 2025 (10/10)
