Castle View Apartment by Reside Baltic Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Castle View Apartment by Reside Baltic, I was expecting maybe a glimpse of some distant castle turret if I squinted really hard from the bathroom window. But walking into this place on Išganytojo gatvė actually blew me away. You’re literally in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, and I mean the real deal – cobblestones right outside your door, medieval vibes everywhere, and yes, there’s an actual proper view of the castle complex that’ll make your Instagram followers hate you in the best possible way.

The apartment itself feels like someone took a 3-star rating and forgot to tell the place it wasn’t supposed to punch above its weight class. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re inside – everything’s clean and functional without being fancy, but honestly, who needs fancy when you’re this close to everything that matters? I loved how quiet it gets at night despite being on what’s basically the main drag through Old Town. The walls are thick (hello, old European building charm), so you don’t get the usual street noise that can drive you crazy in city centers. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that awkward “where do I even go” dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals.

What really got me was the location knowledge you pick up just by staying here. You know that little bakery smell that drifts up around 6 AM? That’s from the place two streets over that locals actually go to, not the tourist trap on the corner. And you’ll figure out pretty quickly that the best time to walk around is either early morning or right around sunset when the light hits those old church spires just right. The apartment puts you close enough to Gediminas Castle that you can walk up there without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main tourist clusters that you’re not fighting crowds every time you step outside. I actually found myself using it as a base camp – you can hit Cathedral Square, wander through the university area, or even walk down to Užupis (the self-declared republic that’s basically Vilnius’s artsy neighborhood) all without needing transport. Sure, parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’ve got a car, but honestly, you won’t need it much once you’re settled in. This is one of those places where the value really shows – you’re getting authentic Old Town living without the boutique hotel price tag, and sometimes that’s exactly what a trip needs.

Reviews of Castle View Apartment by Reside Baltic

  • Exceptional – Sergei from France – May 27, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: the description how to get to the property could have been a bit more detailed, maybe with photos

  • Comfortable and sooo convenient! – Baker from United Kingdom – May 15, 2025 (10/10)

Such a great location, literally right in between all the things you would want to see. Beautiful, clean apartment with lots of space – plus filled with natural light. Perfect for a stay in Vilnius.

What could be improved: The only thing would be that the shower sprays out of the bath a little as there is no curtain/screen.

  • The location, cleanliness and comfort level are excellent. – Suchismita from Poland – December 25, 2024 (9/10)

    Spacious, location, decoration

What could be improved: Kitchen utensils, poor water flow

  • Great – Eva from Estonia – October 13, 2024 (9/10)

    Location excellent

What could be improved: There were renovations of the house, noisy during the day

  • 10/10 experience – Gabriel from Belgium – August 21, 2024 (10/10)

We had a delightful stay at this great apartment! The design is modern and cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. The spacious layout was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the beautiful Old town. The location is unbeatable, with everything from charming cafes to major sights just a short walk away. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Vilnius!

What could be improved: We would have liked a longer stay

The location is very good, you can walk around all the most beautiful places in the old town of Vilnius. The apartment is very clean and bright and has everything you need. The hosts are nice and helpful.

  • Exceptional – Sandrine from United Kingdom – March 13, 2023 (10/10)

Everything was great. Apt is in old town, 5 mins to supermarket and around 15 mins by taxi to the airport. There are a lots of nice restaurants and bars within few mins walk. Reside is an amazing host, always replied fast and helped with whatever we needed.

  • Wonderful – Zilvinas from Denmark – September 23, 2022 (9/10)

What could be improved: misleading or confusing information about key pick-up location, lack of kitchen essentials such as paper towels, microwave, etc.

  • wonderful apartment and great location and very helpful hosts. – Terresia from Australia – July 28, 2025 (9/10)

Location was great! host was very informative and prompt. great sized apartment and close to many attractions and facilities. bed was very comfortable.

What could be improved: Overall the apartment was great – only a couple of small things:
The blinds were not blockout/ thick blinds which made it hard to sleep as we were not used to the long sunlight hours.
I would suggest a shower curtain and a booklet or guide to show where local facilities are and general information about the apartment like where to find the iron, how to operate washing machine etc.
