But you know what? Sometimes the most awkwardly named places surprise you, and this little spot on Pamėnkalnio gatvė actually delivers on most of those promises.

The location is pretty solid if you want to be in Naujamiestis without dealing with the tourist crowds around Cathedral Square. Pamėnkalnio street itself is this quiet residential stretch that locals actually use – you’ll see people walking their dogs in the morning and grabbing groceries from the little shops nearby. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town, which honestly feels perfect because you get that authentic neighborhood vibe without being stuck way out in the suburbs. The parking thing they mention in the name? That’s actually huge for Vilnius, where finding a spot can be a nightmare, especially during summer when everyone’s visiting. I mean, most places in the center either don’t have parking or charge you extra for some sketchy spot three blocks away.

The apartment itself feels genuinely new – not that fake “recently renovated” new where they just slapped some paint over old problems. Everything works properly, the shower has decent pressure (which you honestly can’t take for granted in older European buildings), and the kitchen actually has real appliances instead of those tiny hotel-room setups. It’s definitely more spacious than most city center accommodations, though calling it “luxury” might be stretching things a bit – think clean and comfortable rather than fancy finishes. The 8.2 rating makes sense because it’s one of those places that doesn’t wow you with marble bathrooms or anything, but it also doesn’t disappoint you with broken fixtures or weird smells. The windows face the courtyard rather than the street, so it stays surprisingly quiet at night, even on weekends when people are out and about in the nearby bars.

What I really appreciated was how the whole experience felt low-key and practical. Check-in was straightforward, the Wi-Fi actually worked throughout the space, and there were enough power outlets that I didn’t have to choose between charging my phone and using my laptop. Small things, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night. The area has this nice mix of young professionals and families, so you get good coffee shops and decent restaurants without the inflated prices you’d pay right in the heart of tourist central. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that opens early and makes incredible rugine duona – dark rye bread that’s basically a Lithuanian staple.

Look, it’s not going to be the highlight of your trip or anything, but sometimes you just want a place that works well and doesn’t give you any headaches. If you’re the type who values having your own space, reliable parking, and being close enough to walk everywhere without being in the thick of things, this place hits that sweet spot. Plus, at 3 stars, the expectations are realistic – you’re getting exactly what you’re paying for, maybe even a little more.

  Everything was great – the location was excellent, close to the city center, and a large grocery store was just 10 minutes away. It would have been even better if there was a hairdryer and a double blanket available, for two persons, because blankets is to small and this weekend was colder

  What could be improved: A lot of things no to like here:
  – Not soundproof at all. Soundproof should be removed from description. Noizy neighbours, noizy street, paper walls – you can hear neighbours walking, coughing, etc.
  – Unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
  – In description it says single bed. But it's not a real bed – it is a folding bed (like from dormitory).
  – We had to put all the bedding ourself.
  In description it says Luxury Apartment, but everything inside is IKEA – so it's IKEA luxury 🙂

  What could be improved: There is no bedroom because it is a studio apartment. The bed is integrated into the sofa, but it is not comfortable to use. You have to make the bed, covers barely fit the bed footprint, the sheets were not ironed, there is no headboard to lean on to read, you can not turn off the lights in the room from the bed. It is a shame. Beautiful apartment but I would not return because of the uncomfortable bed.

  What could be improved: We couldn’t seem to locate the bedroom and quickly realised there was only a sofa. Yes, there is no mention of a bedroom in the description and the sofa is displayed accurately but it also states that there are 2 beds and that’s just false. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and the windows not soundproof. The bathroom smelled and the toilet seat was disgusting and full of stains that weren’t removable.
