Baron’s Town Hall Apartments Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Vilnius, and Baron’s Town Hall Apartments is honestly one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills. You know how sometimes you stumble across a place that’s just… right? This is it. The building sits right on Savičiaus street in the heart of the Old Town, and I mean really in the heart – you can practically roll out of bed and touch the cobblestones that have been there since medieval times.
What struck me first wasn’t the apartment itself (though it’s lovely), but the location intelligence of whoever chose this spot. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Town Hall Square, but here’s the thing – you’re on one of those quieter side streets that tourists haven’t completely overrun yet. I mean, there are still tourists, but it’s not the elbow-to-elbow situation you get on Pilies Street. The apartment building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the surrounding architecture, nothing flashy or out of place. Actually, that’s probably why it scores so well with guests – the 9.6 rating makes total sense when you experience it.
The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel. There’s attention to detail that you don’t usually get – proper coffee setup, decent Wi-Fi that actually works throughout the space, and windows that open wide enough to let in those amazing Old Town morning sounds (church bells, distant conversations in Lithuanian, the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping by). I stayed during shoulder season in October, and honestly, it was perfect – cool enough that you appreciated the good heating, warm enough that you could still wander around outside comfortably. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel rigmarole.
Here’s what I really appreciated: parking in Vilnius Old Town is basically a nightmare, but they actually help you figure it out instead of just shrugging and pointing vaguely toward the street. Small thing, but when you’re dragging luggage around 500-year-old streets, it matters. The whole experience feels curated but not stuffy – like someone put real thought into what actual travelers need rather than what looks good in photos. You’re close enough to Gediminas Tower that you can walk up for sunset views, close enough to the best restaurants that you don’t need taxis, but far enough from the main party areas that you’ll actually sleep at night. That balance is harder to find than you’d think in a city where everything worth seeing is crammed into about six square blocks.
Vilnius’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Lithuanian tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring cultural tour services and authentic Baltic hospitality.

Very good layout of the apartment, there is everything you need, despite the fact that it is in the city center and a pedestrian street with bars, with the windows closed, the noise is not heard at all and people leave before 00:00 at night
