Instead, someone actually walked me through the place, pointed out little details I would’ve missed, and gave me those insider tips you can’t find on any website. The rooms themselves are honestly beautiful without trying too hard. I’m talking about thoughtful touches like really good lighting (not those harsh overhead bulbs that make you look dead), proper blackout curtains that actually work, and – this might sound weird – but the most comfortable pillows I’ve encountered in ages. There’s this attention to detail that you don’t always see, even at pricier places.

The whole vibe here is just… comfortable. Like, genuinely comfortable, not that forced “boutique hotel trying to be cozy” thing. Mornings are particularly nice – there’s this quiet energy where you can actually hear yourself think, which is rare these days. The breakfast situation (and I’m picky about breakfast) really impressed me. Fresh, local stuff without any of that continental buffet nonsense with sad pastries under heat lamps. I mean, with a 9.6 rating, you’d expect something special, but this place actually delivers on it. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – they’re helpful without being hovering, friendly without being fake, and they seem to genuinely care about whether you’re having a good time. I noticed they remember little things about guests, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re traveling. The whole operation feels effortless, even though I’m sure there’s tons of work behind the scenes making it run so smoothly. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it, and then spend the rest of your trip comparing everywhere else to it. Trust me, once you experience this level of hospitality, those cookie-cutter chain hotels start feeling pretty soulless.
