Artsy Exclusive Old Town Residence Gallery Walk Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Artsy Exclusive Old Town Residence Gallery Walk, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping through that door on Užupio gatvė, you immediately get it. This isn’t your typical hotel; it’s more like staying in someone’s incredibly cool apartment who happens to have fantastic taste in local art.

The location is what really sold me, actually. You’re right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, just a stone’s throw from the quirky Užupis district – you know, that self-proclaimed “republic” with its own constitution and angel statue. I spent my mornings walking down to the river and evenings exploring the narrow cobblestone streets that branch off in every direction from here. What I loved most was how you could duck into tiny galleries and cafés without dealing with the tour bus crowds you get closer to Cathedral Square. The street itself is relatively quiet (well, as quiet as old town gets), though you’ll hear the occasional late-night revelers on weekends – honestly, it just adds to the atmosphere.

The rooms have this wonderful lived-in feeling, sort of like staying at an artist friend’s place. The walls showcase rotating local artwork, and I mean actual pieces worth looking at, not generic hotel prints. My room had these gorgeous original wooden floors that creaked just enough to remind you you’re in a centuries-old building, and the windows opened wide to let in that crisp Baltic air. The bathroom was compact but perfectly functional – hot water was consistently strong, which isn’t always a given in these historic buildings. One thing to note: if you’re arriving by car, parking can be tricky in this area. I ended up using a lot about a five-minute walk away, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway.

The staff here actually know their stuff about the neighborhood. When I mentioned wanting to find authentic Lithuanian ceramics, the front desk person didn’t just point me toward the tourist shops – she sketched out a little map to this workshop tucked away in a courtyard I never would have found otherwise. That’s the kind of insider knowledge that makes a place feel special. The breakfast spread was simple but solid – fresh bread from a local bakery, local cheeses, and coffee that didn’t taste like it came from a machine. They serve it in this cozy common area where I ended up chatting with other guests about their discoveries around the city.

Look, this isn’t a luxury resort with a spa and room service – it’s a 3-star place with character and soul. The 9.1 rating makes complete sense when you consider what you’re actually getting: a genuine slice of Vilnius life in one of Europe’s most underrated old towns. If you want to feel like you’re discovering something special rather than just checking into another hotel, this place delivers on that promise completely.

Hotels near me in Vilnius offer convenient access to the historic center, where guests can easily walk to Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Castle, and the famous Gate of Dawn.

Reviews of Artsy Exclusive Old Town Residence Gallery Walk

  • Will definitely be back – Lineta from Lithuania – July 9, 2025 (10/10)

Beautifully decorated, amazing location and the staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any questions.

What could be improved: Nothing, everything was great

  • Exceptional – Lina from Switzerland – June 18, 2025 (10/10)

Very stylish new attic apartment, excellent location, everything is well organised

What could be improved: There is no elevator, be aware if you have a heavy luggage

  • Nice penthouse – Suvi-anni from Finland – June 7, 2025 (8/10)

Nice and clean penthouse with small balcony in a good location.

What could be improved: There were problems with getting the room. The promised early check-in could not be implemented. We were not informed about this, and our messages were not answered. Finally we got the contact by phone and were told we can not get the room yet. We had walked long way to Užupis in vain already in the morning. The information would have helped me to plan the day differently. It was long, hot day to wait the room.

  • Exceptional – Mehdi from Denmark – June 4, 2025 (10/10)

I liked the apartment, clean, bright, equipped with everything you want in a trip (over, stove, fridge, washing machine), and modern. Also very quite even though it is in the heart of the town.

What could be improved: The key pass process was a bit shaky. It is not the fault of the apartment managers though. The message where the key pass is in it directly goes to you Gmail Spam. So, be mindful about your spam folder when you expect email from the aparment.

  • A Home ♥️ – Diana from Lithuania – April 17, 2025 (10/10)

The crew – Kristina and Emilija, are very professional and friendly! And this place (we stayed in apartment No 2) has a a special spirit, you feel very secured here and you really don’t want to leave…..
Vilnius is well known for its mosaic of red tile roofs and every time you prepare a coffee or rinsing your dishes, your eyes are viewing it (kitchen window view).
You can easily write a book here or concentrate on your projects, or just relax and enjoy being a tourist in our case in our hometown 🙂 – me and my 12 y.o. son.
    And location!! Vilnius Montmartre ♥️
I enjoyed my morning/evening jogging starting from Bernardine Garden (1 min away), touching Cathedral Square and continuing via Gedimino Avenue or by the Neris river….
If you will stay here – you will understand what I meant:).
Thank you, I felt in love with my hometown again 🙏

  • Exceptional – Nijole from United States – October 18, 2024 (10/10)

The views are beautiful, so comfortable and clean.

  • Nice location, good apartment for few days stay. Just too many rules remainding for toy in every step…. – Ilona from United Kingdom – October 16, 2024 (9/10)

    Location, cleanless, kittchen equipment

What could be improved: A lot of rules! Cannot relax!Doors in place where a lot of people walking and everybody can see code you’re presing…. wasnt feeling safe! Not working coffee machine! Stinking blanket! Stinking pillows!

  • Everything was excellent – Vadim from United Kingdom – September 29, 2024 (10/10)

Everything simple and easy. Easy access and amazing location, close to city centre. Good bars around

  • Overall, definetely recommended! Very cute terrace is perfect for a morning coffee 🙂 – Egle from Netherlands – September 17, 2024 (10/10)

The location was perfect, super close to the city center and there are plenty of options for breakfast around. The apartment is very cozy and has great facilities. Also we could easily find parking for the car nearby.

What could be improved: There was missing some hand soap in the bathroom and a bin.
