Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that sneak up on you. This little gem sits right in Zverynas, which is honestly one of Vilnius’s most underrated neighborhoods. I mean, everyone talks about Old Town (and fair enough, it’s gorgeous), but Zverynas has this laid-back, almost village-y feel that’s hard to find in a capital city.

The apartment itself surprised me – that terrace they mention in the name? It’s actually worth getting excited about. I spent way too many evenings out there with a bottle of local beer, watching the neighborhood cats prowl around and listening to the surprisingly peaceful sounds of this part of the city. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate after staying in too many cookie-cutter hotel rooms. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works properly (the shower has decent pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff. The kitchen’s pretty functional too – I made coffee there most mornings instead of hunting down cafés, though honestly, there are some great spots within walking distance if you prefer to venture out.

What really sold me on this place was the location, though I didn’t fully appreciate it until my second day. Zverynas sits across the Neris River from the main tourist areas, which means you get that “living like a local” experience without being completely cut off from everything. There’s a decent grocery store maybe three minutes away, and the walk into Old Town is actually pleasant – you cross this lovely bridge and suddenly you’re back in medieval Europe. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you factor in the value proposition. You’re paying 3-star prices but getting this whole apartment with outdoor space in a neighborhood where you’ll hear more Lithuanian than English, which feels pretty authentic. Parking was easier than I expected too – just street parking, but it wasn’t the nightmare I’d braced myself for. Only minor complaint? The building’s entrance is a bit confusing (typical Soviet-era apartment block setup), and I definitely got turned around the first time trying to find the right door. But once you figure it out, it’s fine.

  Atvykome stebėti Dainų šventės,- vieta tobula, kadangi šalia Vingio parkas.
  Buvo labai karšta,- kondicionierius veikė puikiai.
  Poilsiui pritaikyta erdvi terasa,- šalia auga nuostabi eglutė.
  Virtuvės zona pilnai atitinka keturių asmenų šeimos poreikius, ir pradžiai rasite viską,- druska, kava, cukrus, prieskoniai aliejus ir t.t.
