Apartment Vokiečių Overview
You know what struck me first about Apartment Vokiečių? Walking up to this place on Vokiečių Street, you’re literally steps away from some of Vilnius Old Town’s most gorgeous cobblestone alleys, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy at all. I mean, you’re basically in the heart of everything – I could hear the faint sounds of street musicians from Cathedral Square drifting through the windows on quiet evenings, but it never felt overwhelming or noisy.
The apartment itself has this really authentic Lithuanian charm that you just can’t fake. The floors creak in that satisfying old-building way, and the windows are these tall, European-style ones that actually open properly (you’d be surprised how many places skimp on that). What I loved most was how they’ve kept the original architectural details – high ceilings, thick walls that keep things cool in summer – while making sure everything actually works like it should. The kitchen has proper counter space, which honestly saved my trip since I picked up ingredients at the Hales market just a few blocks away. Speaking of practical stuff, the shower pressure was surprisingly good for an older building, and the Wi-Fi never gave me trouble even when I was video calling back home.
Here’s the thing about staying right in Old Town – you’re going to walk everywhere, and I mean everywhere. The apartment is maybe a three-minute stroll to Town Hall Square, where all those outdoor cafés set up their tables, and you can cut through the university courtyard to reach Užupis (the artsy bohemian district) in about ten minutes if you know the right side streets. I actually ended up loving the early mornings there because you get to see the city wake up before the day-trip crowds arrive from the cruise ships. The building itself sits on a quieter stretch of Vokiečių, so you’re not dealing with the restaurant noise from Pilies Street, but you can still pop over there for dinner without planning ahead. One small thing – there’s no elevator, but honestly, climbing those worn stone steps became part of the whole experience for me. Just pack light if you’re staying on an upper floor. With a 9.6 rating, I can see why people keep coming back to this place – it’s got that perfect balance of feeling like a real neighborhood while being ridiculously convenient for exploring everything Vilnius has to offer.
Vilnius’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with historic charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich Lithuanian capital.

Spacious apartment in Vilnius Old Town – Ulrich from Germany – June 21, 2025 (10/10)
This apartment is centrally located in the Old Town of Vilnius. It is spacious and comfortable to host also larger groups. The kitchenette is small but still has most amenities. There is also a washing machine, which is a plus if you travel longer. The landlady is very nice. She allowed us to store our luggage for the day in her apartment even after check out.

A gem! The place is charming, we were travelling as a group of 4 with an infant and had enough space for everyone. Great amenities in kitchen, very clean, central and quiet location. There were a fireplace and interesting decorations. Tons of coffee shops, cafes and sightseeing around. The communication with the owner was also seamless, always in touch and eager to answer all the questions.
We were extremely happy with the apartment, it felt like home 🙂Exceptional – Zyga from Poland – May 7, 2023 (10/10)
