Apartment in Vilnius Centre Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Apartment in Vilnius Centre, I’ll be honest — the Žirmūnai district wasn’t exactly what I expected from a place calling itself “centre.” But you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. This four-star property sits in a quieter residential area that feels authentically Lithuanian, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough to everything that matters. The building itself has that clean, modern Baltic aesthetic — nothing flashy, but well-maintained and welcoming.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Žirmūnai — you’re about a 15-minute walk to Old Town Vilnius, which means you get the best of both worlds. I mean, you can stroll to Gediminas Castle Tower or Cathedral Square without much effort, but you’re also in a neighborhood where locals actually live and work. There’s a decent grocery store nearby (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and the parking situation is refreshingly stress-free — something that’s genuinely rare in European cities. The public transport connections are solid too, though honestly, I found myself walking most places.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup really works well, especially if you’re traveling as a couple — which apparently a lot of people do here, and I can see why. The room feels more like a proper living space than a hotel box, with enough storage and a sitting area where you can actually relax. The kitchen is compact but functional — I made coffee there every morning and even managed a simple dinner one night. Everything’s clean and modern, though don’t expect anything particularly fancy. It’s more about comfort and practicality than Instagram-worthy design.
Daily Life & Amenities
What I really appreciated was how this place lets you live like a local for a few days. You can grab fresh bread from the bakery down the street, cook a meal if you want to save money, or just spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi works well (important for staying connected), and the building stays quiet even during busy periods. The staff — well, you don’t see them much, which is actually perfect for this type of setup. Check-in was smooth, and they were helpful when I had questions about getting around the city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the most luxurious stay of your life, but it hits all the right notes for what it is. Couples seem to really enjoy the space and privacy it offers — there’s something nice about having your own little corner of Vilnius rather than just another hotel room. The value is solid, especially considering you’re getting apartment-style space in a capital city. Plus, staying in Žirmūnai gives you a more authentic feel for how the city actually works, beyond just the tourist highlights. If you want to experience Vilnius like someone who lives here (temporarily), this place delivers on that promise.

What could be improved: I stayed in this apartment for 12 nights, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
On the first day, upon check-in, there were spiders in the apartment and visible dust. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning, and it was very hot inside. When opening the balcony door for fresh air, flies and gnats would come in.
One day, the Wi-Fi did not work at all. When I contacted the host, she initially said they had called to arrange a fix, but later sent a message saying the service had not been paid for. Instead of apologizing, she argued with me.
Since we stayed for 12 nights, I asked for the bed linen to be changed, but it was neither replaced nor even acknowledged. I also requested a late check-out, but it was refused. Given that we had a very late check-in and stayed for almost two weeks, I expected the host to be more accommodating.
Overall, I cannot recommend this apartment.
